I bought this camera system for myself and install it. Works right away works great and easy to set up. Then I bought and installed this camera surveillance system for a customer of mine and 4 months in the hard drive stopped working. I contacted Smonet right away and they got back to me the next day. Nacho was very helpful in trying to find the problem. They sent me a new hard drive A.S.A.P then I installed it and WOW everything is working as it should. This is a 5 star company that is there for full support of there customer's. A huge thank you to Nacho and the Smonet team. A true company you can trust.

My system stopped recording after seven months. I contacted Smonet, and they guided me through diagnosis, determining the hard drive had failed. When they did not have a replacement available for quick delivery, Smonet provided an Amazon link and gift card to pay for the new hard drive. The new drive arrived in a few days and was an easy plug n play install. I would buy another Smonet system.

Camera material is good quality, simple to install with or without the provided template. Perhaps I could have install them much lower. With this elevation, I need at minimum 17 ft ladder to reach camera and remove inevitable spider webs that during the day present no issue, but during the night with IR illumination, floating spider web strands tend to produce alarms. I will lower the camera position to increase viewing angle and have it within the broom reach so that simple broom swipe can eliminate the issue. I was concerned with connectivity - WiFi or Wired. I installed cameras with intent to test WiFi while the house siding was still missing and I was surprised with the WiFi signal strength. As you can see, in the meantime, siding was installed, but I didn't install ethernet cabling. Nice saving. The NVR which connects to the house ethernet network by cable, has HDMI/VGA connectors for the local monitor and the mouse.With the way I physically placed the NVR the monitor is out of question. So, I use VMS application on my PC while I use XMEye on my phone. Both applications are very simple to use and allow me to view and record action. NVR application has lots of features and has better reviewing capability in terms of quick search for specific event.Overall good purchase and fun to catch wild life around house.

Well at first I thought this was a pretty good system I thought the cameras were good I wasn’t really Impressed with the DVR very complicated to set up then once I got the system set up the camera stop working at night they take the picture but it’s just a blurry you can’t see nothing I’ve tried working with support time and time again and after a while they just stop helping you so far I would have to say this is just junk support is terrible the phone numbers they give you don’t even exist or it rings three times and it hangs up on you support is terrible the cameras are so so the DVR is very complicated I do not recommend SMONET you have to keep in mind that it takes quite some time to set up all the cameras you’ve gotta get power source to the Mount to the wall and the brackets are terrible if you mount it on the wall you can’t turn right because it hits the antenna so you have to put it on the ceiling if you put it on the ceiling you can only turn left because again the antenna is in the way not impressed with the system going to probably end up setting them back DO NOT RECOMMENDUPDATE UPDATE——————-Being that this company is out of China it is very hard to work out getting replacement parts I had to order 4 new cameras because the IR infrared did not work on them as I said before the cameras themselves are pretty good but the system itself is very complicated and the manual needs to be updated way better with better explanations I ended up keeping the system so I will upgrade it to a 1star , service was pretty good to get the cameras that I needed for replacement but it took a long time because like I said there is no phone number to call you have to do everything via email to China which takes days to straighten the situation out I recommend this because it is a good price and the cameras are good although the audio is not good at all with the lightest breeze that’s all you hear is the wind blowing through the cameras they need to concentrate on working on their audio system I give this a one star only, as far as the IR infrared there is no way that goes 65 feet you’re lucky if you get 35 so don’t expect to see very far at night and one other thing it’s a camera system but when you go to playback it’ll only play three cameras at a time although it has a slot for four cameras one of the Camera pages is blank I don’t know who the engineers are but they should be taken out back and slapped who gets a four camera system that only plays three cameras back up at one time terrible engineering this is 2023 what happened to good engineering and another thing I noticed are the mounting brackets if you mounted on the wall you can’t point it to the left because the antennas is in the way if you mounted on the ceiling you can’t point it right it’s just a mounting bracket is this the best the engineers could do really???UPDATE—— service—- they did send me four new cameras which seem to be working so I’m going to keep my rating to 1star, and barley that. I would rather that they just fixed their mounting bracket their IR system give us a better manual and take the engineers and take them out back and slap them. And the audio is terrible the lightest breeze and that’s all you hear is wind these are all simple engineering problems that could easily be fixed but they don’t fix them I don’t think I’ll ever buy from this company again I do not recommend them there’s too many issues with their engineering they don’t have a phone number you can call and on and on.ONE STAR ONLY BECAUSE THERES NOT A LOWER RATING.

This is my second system purchased from Smonet. So far smonet is the best system I have seen, The camera has an excellent base ,which allows you to mount wall or ceiling and still able to position in any position. Additionally Sue is the best fast response when you need help very professional and patient, she is quick on the replies overall this is a top of the line camera system. With great customer service. I have recommend the system to family and friends. Easy to setup great picture qualityFantastic system can't get any better.

I had a problem with the first one the hdmi was not working, phoned the help line. They got back to me and helped me out for a refined and replacement. Got the new replacement and the same thing happened ? My brain is going what the is going on my tv box hdmi woking my fire stick hdmi working my dvd player hdmi working Security Camera System not working.?i dont under stand. Then i hooked it up to my new Samsung 85" tv and it works fin with the hdmi cable. I still want to hook it up to my old 50" plasma tv using the vga to rca convertor. This look like a very good unit good picture so far. I guess the old Panasonic tv cant read new technology on hdmi. Has eanyone come across this problem. I love new teck thanks to SMONET hot line I was happy again.
