Does the job. Easy install. You can’t go wrong with it. Don’t even need all parts.

Just as advertised, good product that is well made with good materials and a good price. I went to a big box store looking for a door chain with a spring to stop the wind from blowing my storm door into my porch railing and the sales person didn't know what I was talking about and they didn't have one. Looked on Amazon and found it right away. Fast free shipping that got here early with prime.

What a piece of garbage! I bought this one because it appeared heavier duty than the first one I was going to purchase.... Product arrived in a clear plastic bag with no installations instructions, no written anything, not even a name or description... Well, okay, that is what youtube is for.... I watched a few videos, measured carefully, used my own screws because the ones that were included would clearly not work with my door (what I needed was 2 longer wood screws for the frame and a shorter metal screw for the storm/screen door). This was a residential install on my own storm/screen door. I bought this unit to replace the original one that was improperly installed (by someone else) and broke with our new gusty weather. When the original one broke, it also messed up the pneumatic door closing device so now I need a new one of those too...Back to the chain though. The FIRST time the wind caught the storm door, it slammed open - to my shock! I had installed everything correctly. I double checked. What happened? Look at the photo. The "S" link that came with this unit bent, disconnecting the chain, as the door slammed open.To fix, I supplied my own sturdier steel "S" link. Providing my own screws was one thing, but now I have less confidence in the entire unit.

I made it work. It did not come with the smaller spring and pin. They weee missing, along with installation instructions. So, I installed it as best I could without instructions.

Prevents the wind from blowing the door wide open, stressing it’s hinges or bending the rod on the door closer.
