Was looking for something on the lighter fun side for a small flute studio recital at a retirement home. Perhaps some familiar tunes for this older generation. With having been able to see a page or two of this book, I proceeded to order ... and very pleased with the renderings Mr. Story did in boiling down some big tunes into a flute duet setting. I see he's done this with trios and quartets and will add to possible buy in the future. These could also work well for duo event gigs, such as background music for a reception (tunes can be short, so play through 2-3 times, adding in players flipping parts on repeats, adding in embellishments, etc).

I run small ensembles and when numbers are low we mix together using C, B flat and E flat books. They sound good together. Take care when ordering as when stocks low it seems duet books come up on the same link. Also sometimes it says delivery will be months ahead.
