Well it's that time of year again! So enjoy the arrival of these beautiful Orioles. They love this product! I keep several feeders of this nectar out for them. It is so easy to mix and no mess involved. Thanks for this great product.

We used to have yellow Orioles visiting our backyard. My husband converted a hummingbird feeder by enlarging the feeding holes, and the Orioles would feed along side our hummingbirds. Sadly, bees also enjoyed the sugar water and would crawl inside the enlarged holes, getting trapped inside with several dying before I discovered what had happened. After that, I put the "altered" hummingbird feeder away, using other hummingbird feeders. Unfortunately, unable to get to the sugar water, the Orioles left our yard and never returned. When I saw this Oriole Nectar Concentrate, I decided to buy it along with a dedicated Oriole bird feeder. I figured, what the heck - it's worth a try. About 3 weeks after I put it out, I saw a pair of Orioles feeding on the nectar through my near Oriole bird feeder. Now we have 2 pairs that regularly visit, and I'm hoping for more. I don't know how they found the feeder, but I'm thrilled that did!

I have to laugh at the fact that the hummingbirds liked this better than the orioles. The orioles continued to go to the red hummingbird feeder. They seemed to ignore this nectar. The hummingbirds seemed to like this better. Go figure!

I have never seen any Orioles in this area, so this is a new attempt for me. The Orioles have yet to discovered it! DC
