The saw is easy to use, not heavy, and with the extension can reach as far as I want to go. The cutting head is effective, and makes trimming branches an easy job. Battery power is sufficient, and much easier to use and safer than an extension cord.

Absolutely works great, Before I purchased pole saw I paid $600 to have some trees limbed in on my property ego pole saw great investment has paid for itself on first use.

I wasn't initially planning on buying this but I was having a hard time finding a company to come by and trim a few trees on my property, and those that did give me an estimate were very high priced, so I bit the bullet and purchased this product, I have an Ego mower, trimmer and blower plus a couple of batteries so I just needed the tool and not the battery and charger. Over the past few weeks I've been trimming my own trees with this, and it has worked amazing, the chain tensioner does loosen slightly over time but I just re-tension it after a doing a dozen or so cuts, no problem with the bar oil reservoir lid popping off either (as in some reviews) I would totally recommend this to anyone. I have saved at least $2000 DIYing my own tree trimming.

This pole saw has been very useful in the short time I've had it. I've been using it for smaller cuts so far (3-5 inches thick) and it handles it with ease.

THIS AD HAS A MAJOR ERROR! It does not reach to 16 feet unless you purchase the ADDITIONAL EXTENSION for $179 + tax. I have contacted Amazon about it, reported the listing and others have mentioned it in their reviews. Amazon has done nothing to fix it. As for the saw itself, it works well but isn't long enough to reach what I bought it for. Now I have to fork out another $200.

First off, I have all the Ego Products so I know about the product.When this arrived I was quietly surprised how long it can extend too,the carbon fiber (life time warranty) poles are super but it would be difficult for a man or lady who is not some sort of fit to hold for any length of time but in general it was great and help to get into brush and trim the base of trees that are hard to reach with the normal chainsaw or hedge trimmer .Im not 100 percent, yet but I feel it uses a lot of chain oil and if you was doing quiet a bit of trimming serious stuff then it would be best to have a second chain available has it's only 10 inch and all the other chains would not be suffice.

This pole saw works great! It's easy to assemble, light and cuts through oak like there's no tomorrow. I've used a standard tree saw for years to trim the easy to reach tree branches. Then call an expensive arborist to get to the more precarious branches. With this saw, I can get to those hard to reach branches that hang over my roof, rest the blade on the branch and the saw does the rest. I figure the EGO PS1000 more than paid for itself the first time I used it.

Works great, extended reached 14 ft or so. Keep chain tight and faced forward with small side of blade forward or blade comes off. When putting blades back on make sure tab is up or you can’t get cover on. With battery on it’s pretty heavy. I only used for 15 minutes per session. However, I could get to top of a 12-14 ft tall 100 ft long shrub and probably saved 2/3 Ed’s of cost in not hiring the job out.

The shoulder strap is a must to use. I rest the battery end in my leg which make it easy for me toHandle. I use the 5.0 amp battery not the 2.5 amp.I have other Ego tools also. The trimmer cuts well and does the job. When I add the 3 foot extension it’s a challenge due to its length. I am 78 years old so a younger stronger man will work this with ease.I can only cut up to 17 feet with the extension. Some of my trees are high so I need a professional to cut the tops. I do however recommend this tool. It works very well.On my high bushes and smaller trees. Use the recommended oil> Check the oil level often. It does use oil due the heat of the chain.
