Earthwise 8" Corded Pole Saw 6 Amp

Well made tool. Pieces snap together nicely, slightly tight. Excellent and surprisingly little chain saw works very well. Trimmer works quite well, not quite the quality of the chain say. Flexible position head holds its position without movement. The whole tool is slightly heavier on the full extension but still very maneuverable. May be a little awkward in full extension if someone with weaker upper body strength using the tool.

Everything works like a charm. No complaints. Have already taken down a few smaller shrubs and trees with the chainsaw and regularly trim my shrubs with the hedger.

Good product, easy to use and cuts through branches like butter. A little heavy and need a long electrical extension. Works fine for a good price too. I would recommend it.

Very happy with how well this extendable chainsaw cuts limbs, branches, etc.

The unit when attached to the pole extended feels quite heavy by reaches where I need it. The chainsaw and trimmer have good speed and power for the jobs I have used it on so far.

I received this product a month ago and now the chain saw doesn't cut anything after pruning a couple of trees. Not sure what's wrong.

My trimming life is so much easier. Great value for cost. With extension I have way less need for ladders. Chainsaw perfect for light duty.

It was ok, heavier than expected on the extended mode. Works fine.

I have used this for about 2 months and have really put it through its paces. I've used every tool and configuration at this point. I do not think you can beat this product on versatility and cost.HEDGE TRIMMERThe hedge trimmer works right out of the box and is fairly lightweight. It only struggles to cut through slightly thicker branches. I have trimmed all of my bushes and trees with it - a variety of leafy bushes, juniper bushes, rhododendron and japanese maple. Simple, light, works great.CHAINSAWI used this recently to cut down several juniper bushes in short order. Make sure to get bar/chain oil for it and keep it tightened. On first use, the chain gradually got looser and looser. It did fall off the bar once, but did not cause any injury. I would caution you to pause every now and then and tighten the chain. It's very easy to assemble/disassemble - no complicated parts.POLE ATTACHMENTYou can extend this pretty far and cut perhaps 12'-15' trees and bushes from the ground. Of course it gets a bit heavy to lift for long periods if you have it fully extended. The included shoulder strap makes holding it and supporting the weight easier, though.

The oil container is small and tops up really fast. So, either go slow, or have rag nearby. Also, if you let it run dry, like any chainsaw, it will ruin the blade and it won't cut well. Remember to add that oil after an hour, or so, of use.The chain is tightened correctly, when you loosen the nut on the side, pull it out so the chain can only be lifted about 1/4" inch from the groove (about middle way). Anything more than 1/2" is too loose and can come off. Anything tighter than say, 1/8" is too tight and it won't spin easily.Using a higher gauge extension cord is important. If the cord is really long, like 100 feet, you need about 14 gauge. If short, say 25 feet you can get away with a lighter gauge, like 18. Remember heavier gauge is smaller number and required for longer lengths. Also, remember to wear a helmet and at least protective eyewear. I had, what looked like a small branch fall into my face. Painful! Finally, cleanup as you go. I made another mistake when I had tons of branches piling up and I cut the extension cord since I didn't see it. Not brilliant. Don't do what I did!Keep safe. Think. Go slow. It's a great tool, but can be dangerous in multiple ways. If you never used one, have an experienced person show you how. If you want to try it on your own, do a lower.branch and let gravity do the work. Don't force it. Also, the best place to cut is certainly not at the tip, but closer back to the motor, so it won't kick.

I bought this for some smaller trees in the yard that need to be trimmed back. My son is a firefighter and showed my husband and I how to use it. It’s really loud so if you’re not expecting that it will surprise you. Wear closed toe shoes, pants and long sleeved shirt because limbs will be flying. I don’t like the saw on the pole as it’s a little unwieldy but it works awesome.

I hadn't trimmed any of my bushes for a few years. I still had my dad's hedge trimmers that he bought back in the 1960s. I really needed to give my overgrown shrubs and bushes a good haircut. These worked like a breeze. Some bushes had grown way above my head & I attached the pole & was able to trim them down with ease. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a lightweight hedge trimmer. Also I was very happy with the price. I haven't had a chance to use the chainsaw yet.

I like the idea of 2 for 1 use, and I have tried it both ways with limbs up to 6-7". The telescoping was easy, and I appreciate the sling. I did think it is a little top heavy, but I am a retiree who has less strength and endurance than ten years ago. I still recommend it, and I am happy with my purchase (good price). Don't forget to order the chain oil you will need.
