Like a lot of people, I find myself with more gadgets to plug in these days, but with limited outlet space, and I'm always concerned about popping a circuit breaker from plugging in too much in one outlet. This Trond outlet extender with surge protection not only provides extra outlets to use, but it helps take away the worry with its 900 Joules surge protection to help safeguard your devices from voltage spikes and electrical surges. This space saving, 3 sided, angled design provides 4 extra grounded sockets in the space of 1, while leaving the lower one still open and usable. You can even fit the larger power adapters and it doesn't block the other sockets. It fits 4 outlet types: your standard outlets, USB receptacles, decor outlets and the GFCI outlets with the red buttons. Its compact size of 4.46" x 1.87" x 1.43" is particularly suitable for tight spots, such as behind your couch, your bed and other furniture, while being small enough to take with you in your briefcase or your laptop bag. This extender works wonderfully and helped solve the problem not only for my many kitchen counter small appliances but also for my computer and all its peripheral hardware devices, and I could also use one in my bathroom. This safe and durable outlet extender creates a portable charging station in any room in your home at a very affordable price.

The TROND 4-outlet surge protector is rated for 1875W but it's not likely to protect against a significant power surge. Outlets are very tight, requiring a lot of force to insert plugs. It lacks independent safety tests, though TROND has released a lot of AC products with good reviews, so at least they have a track record of safety in the field.It's rated to absorb 900 joules from a power surge or lightning strike, but that's a small amount, not enough to protect electronics of significant value. It has no specs for how many volts it will limit current to or how quickly it will do the limiting, so I wouldn’t count on its surge protection to protect against much.The manual says it "can protect your electric devices from over-current / over-charge / short circuit / over-heated". Yet none of the specs say it has over-current protection and "over-charge" makes no sense - it can't possibly prevent you from over charging a connected battery. I suspect some or all of these are false claims.Overall, I dock a star for the false claims and limited surge protection, but it's good as a fairly cheap power splitter.

This Trond Outlet Extender and Surge protector is awesome! I rely on medical equipment. I needed to extend the outlet next to my bed to accommodate my medical equipment as well as have the ability to charge my devices. I had an old, vintage yellowed plastic plug extender that probably wasn’t very safe. Now I have this, which offers surge protection as well as extra outlets.What makes this different is the angled shape, which allows for charging devices without blocking the lower outlet. It is a safe simple solution to my problem. It is approximately 4 3/8” at its widest point, about 1 7/8” deep and about 1 1/2” high. It is not an eyesore, but it does protrude from the wall. However, it is a vast improvement over the vintage plastic outlet extender. It seems to function well and I am glad that my medical equipment will have some surge protection.It is fairly compact, easy to slip into luggage for travel. It is reasonably priced and I intend to purchase more. I recommend it.CARE INSTRUCTIONS: None, except occasional light dusting.Thanks for reading :)

This outlet extender is an absolute steal! Terrific value for the price as you are turning one outlet into 4 with the added protection of it having a surge protector within it! The design and shape of this is also very innovative As it allows your plugs to wrap around instead of potentially blocking off the outlets above or below where you plug this in. Super easy to use, simply plugging and you are off!
