These are comfortable socks with extra padding my only complaint is the price these are twice the price that they should be. I have one pair but only one pair will I own.

I had purchased Thorlos socks before for running, playing tennis, and working out in the gym, 15+ years ago was the last time - until now. Thorlos socks are considerably more expensive that any of the 'REGULAR" athletic or walking socks that most people purchase, however they don't wear out or get holes in them for at least 15 years, yes they last that long. I still have one pair that I purchased 15+ years ago and have worn regularly, that I am still wearing for workouts in the gym. Aside from the long-lasting wear factor, Thorlos socks are considerably thicker on the bottom than "regular" athletic socks that people purchase in packs of 6 or 12. I am done with those types of socks, I've purchased lots of them in the past. The 4 pair of Thorlos running socks I recently purchased on Amazon will last me for at least the next 15 years, and I wear them for walking, running, and working out on average 5 times a week. All Thorlos socks (running, walking. tennis, etc.) are prety much the same except for the height of the sock. I personally don't like those below the ankle length socks (sockettes as I call them) or socks that ride up high to the calf or over the calf that is why I chose the Max cushion running crew socks. Everyone has different preferences regarding sock height, however the foot part of all Thorlos socks is pretty much the same.

These are a must. The mid cushion were annoying as it felt like there was cardboard stuck under the front of my foot all the time. Having the middle part cushioned made all the difference.

They fit great on my oversized feet, and unlike many other socks sold in this category these are actually *padded*. Thickly, in fact. Haven't tried running in them yet, but long distance walks showed no problems.
