SmallRig Magic Arm with Dual Ball Heads (1/4"-20 Screws and 3/8"-16 Locating Screw for ARRI) 3874 is compact and lightweight. Each ball head, 20mm in diameter, features stretchable pins that prevent twisting. The adjustable thumb lever helps secure ball head at an appropriate angle and comes with a small magnetic wrench at the bottom to tighten the thumbwheels. At both ends of the ball head clamp there are notches which leave more space for flexible adjustment of ball heads as well as accessories mounted thereon. This item weighs only 90g, making it easy to carry around and store.

Pretty heavy duty arm. Good quality made of metal. 3/8 screw at one end and 1/4 on the other. Comes with spare O rings.

This unit attaches very securely to a camera cage and doesn’t let the monitor to spin uncontrolled. It allows you to position the monitor exactly where you need it.

Pretty nice magic arm, very stiff once tightened. However 1 of the locating pins got stuck and stopped springing up after 1 use. Poor quality control.

SmallRig nailed it again! This is probably my favorite articulating arm that I have for all of my cameras.I run multi-cam with two different types of camera set-ups (video/event and Cinema) and every camera has their own assigned accessories (8 cameras total, depending on setup).The build quality is solid and it comes with a nice tool built in to help tighten it down and loosen it back up later. Buy with confidence!

Never had a problem with any of their gear. It just works. This one surprised me though. Didn't even get it into field before it broke. Mounted it to FX30 cage, put Ninja 5 on it, tightened it down. Cabled up monitor and set rig down - 5 minutes later my ninja crashed into my lens as the magic arm had failed. Fortunately only minor cosmetic damage to the ninja. Still. Not up to SmallRig standards, hoping it's just a defective unit.Update -- They reached out and sent a replacement arm... Yep it seems it was just a defective item. Still strange for SmallRig, but it happens to every company from time to time. AND more importantly, they made it right. The new unit works brilliantly and I gave it quite a working in this afternoon to try and make it fail - but no issues. So 5 stars despite the shaky start for this particular item. Trust in SmallRig is restored.. and then some.

immediately bought a second one as soon as I tried mine, the locator pins are retractable and perfect for my use - mounting an iPad in an Accsoon power cage (1/4-20 with locator pins) to an Inovativ Digiplate (3/8-16)
