The salt is also well suited for routine aquarium freshwater use. It does not impact pH or provide buffering. For low range pH control use Acid Buffer, Discus Buffer, South American Cichlid Buffer 4.5, or Acid Regulator. Use Neutral Regulator, Central American Cichlid Buffer or South American Cichlid Buffer 7.0 for neutral pH. For high range pH control use Alkaline Regulator, Alkaline Buffer or Tanganyika Buffer.

I've used this to cure ich from my electric blue rams that were covered with ich. Within 2 days it was gone and none of my other fish were affected. Really great for live-bearers as well! Seems to help them breed a lot more!

We used for our red claw crab tank and the little guys are thriving and doing so well!!! I’m sure there are many factors but some salinity is important for these crabs, so this seems to be doing the trick!

Its good salt but It’s much cheaper to get Omega Salt and mix it half strength for brackish water.

Bought this salt for our 20 gallon fiddler crab tank and it works perfectly. It is maybe not the most cost effective salt additive; you can buy marine salt for cheaper.Folks seem confused about aquarium salt. API aquarium salt is NOT for brackish/saltwater tanks. It does not supply the necessary nutrients, minerals, etc. THIS brackish salt can be used for brackish or saltwater setups, although, as stated previously, not likely the most inexpensive option if you have a larger tank.
