This is the best litter pail, hands down. We have had 3 different styles of litter locker before this bucket style - and issues with each of those, like: have to use their expensive refills, can use regular garbage bags but it looks a mess, actual usable litter storage space is small, emptying the locker is a pain, difficult to clean, etc etc. But, those litter lockers were better than filling up little bags each time we scooped the boxes so we used those systems for years.But no more! This bucket is amazing. It comes with several biodegradable bags but you can clip any bag inside to hold the used litter. Changing to a fresh bag is simple, just unclip, lift the old bag out and clip a new bag in. It takes seconds. Its a bucket so its easy to clean, just wipe it out. The lid locks in place and keeps odours inside. It has a handle and is easy to carry if you want to move it. Solid construction and feels like it will last a long time.The only thing that is not as good as the more intricate litter lockers is that there is no barrier to contain the smell when you open the lid. Its an open bucket, so you get the full effect of whatever is in there. But its so good in every other way we just overlook this part.As other reviewers have said, watch the price. It seems to fluctuate between $50 - $110. It just hit $50 again and I bought a 2nd one. $50 for a bucket may seem too high but its really not. All the frustration of using our old litter lockers gone - its very much worth it.Advice from a 3 cat household: stick this litter bucket on your Wish List, watch it, and buy at $50. You won't regret it.

I purchased five(!) of the PetFusion litter pails: three for us (we have multiple locations for our cats' litter boxes), one for our oldest daughter who lives in an apartment with her cat, Leon, and one for our daughter's friend who also has her own place (and cat).I've been looking for good odor-proof litter pails for quite a long time and PetFusion's design—a pail within a pail—has been extremely well thought-out. The way the compostable bags are held in place is also clever allowing them to stay firmly in place while in use. Between litter cleanings, the carrying handle locks securely into place, sealing the pail's lid so that no odors escape. Brilliant. Who would have thought a cat litter pail would be so well designed, constructed and easy to use!Also, I'd like to comment on PetFusion's exemplary customer service. I contacted the company because I wanted to order more bags. Their customer service replied the same day, letting me know that Amazon.ca was temporarily out of PetFusion replacement bags. The person I communicated with (Alexandra) was extremely pleasant and continued to keep me in the loop, sending me regular updates as to when Amazon would have them in stock. When they arrived, she informed me immediately. Well done! All this for litter box bags...This is a company that obviously cares about it customers.

For there record I bought this for $49.99, now it's showing up as almost $100.I love that it uses compostable bags, my community has a compost bin and i can now throw all cat waste in the compost bin instead of the garbage. I do wish it was a bit wider/larger, but that's really being picky. It almost holds a weeks worth of waste with 2 cats, almost. It keeps the smell in when secured and has been a wonderful addition. Im waiting for the price tip go back down then I'll buy a second one for my other litter location.I do find $50 a lot for a cat waste bin but it's good quality, keeps the smell in and easy to transport to my compost bin in the garage. You careen use any bags with it, i chose to use the compost bags provided.

Pros: easy to lift and move, very easy to add waste to it (as opposed to the LitterLocker 2), odourless, attractive for what it is.Con: no holder for a litter scoop - lost one star for that. To get around that, I bought a mini trash bin that hangs on the outside of a cabinet door and can be lined with a small bag. The entry from our garage is able to accommodate this, but it may not work for everyone. Another alternative might be a litter scoop that comes with an adhesive holder.Suggestion: do not use the compostable bags that come with it, as they start to decompose very quickly. I learned this one the hard way the first time that I went to pull the bag out when it was half full. Because the top half of the bag was intact, I couldn’t see that the bottom half was already starting to fall apart, and I ended up reinacting one of those hokey TV ads where someone with a cheap garbage bag is standing there surrounded by garbage once the bottom of the bag breaks. Nothing like having everything in the surrounding area, including ones’ feet, covered by used litter - lol!

Love this. Strong, not ugly, easy to use, and versatile. Not cheap but worth the $ as it is a quality pail that works as advertised. I would like to be able to buy a resupply of the bags that were included. I looked and looked for similar bags but ended up buying ones at Walmart. Someone, please let me know if these bags are available and point me in the correct direction. We named the pail, Pewey.

I think it’s a bit overpriced but overall I’m happy with it. It’s a pretty attractive looking disposal unit. I switched from using litter lockers and was so frustrated with the tiny openings. I have 3 cats so the urine clumps when they’d all peed in the same area of a box were ginormous and often broke off onto the floor etc when they wouldn’t fit in the litter hole.The opening for this is spacious, the bags clip in easily, when you close it with the handle up it seals the smell. You can use any bags you like, no more messing around with rolls of plastic & wasteful plastic cartridges. Refreshingly simple and easy design. Even at the price I wish I’d bought it sooner.

Easy to figure out -- I just watched one of the reviewer's videos here for a few seconds and it was clear. Really keeps odors from escaping. No more daily trips to the outside trash bins -- a life changer! The poo does smell when you open the pail (naturally). To mitigate that, whenever I scoop the litterbox, I scoop the poo into a supermarket size plastic bag, put 1/3 cup of cat litter onto it to soak up the smell, tie a knot, and throw it into the pail which is lined with a bag. When it's time to empty the trash in a few days, I take out the liner bag, tie it up and toss it with the bags of poo in it. Not necessary to do this, because the pail keeps the odors contained. It's just for whenever you open the pail, if you have a delicate nose like mine. The charcoal filter helps, too. The pail is square and nice looking, doesn't take up a lot of space.

Wir haben 4 Katzen und entsprechend ist das Streu aufkommen.Da wir bereits diverse andere Lösungen ausprobiert haben, waren wir hier entsprechend skeptisch ob dieser Eimer tatsächlich den Geruch vernünftig einschließt und wirklich dicht ist.Wir haben den Eimer nun knapp 2 Wochen in Benutzung und sind wirklich positiv überrascht. Wir nutzen derzeit die mitgelieferten Beutel (aber man kann auch jeden anderen Müllbeutel nutzen) und füllen die Hinterlassenschaften unserer Katzen direkt ein. Leeren müssen wir alle 2 Tage aber bei 4 Katzen ist das absolut OK.Der Beutel wird in den Inneneimer an 2 Seiten mit eine Art Haken festgemacht und auf den anderen beiden Seiten geklemmt. Dadurch hält der Beutel optimal und verrutscht nicht beim Befüllen. Im Deckel befindet sich ein Kissen mit Silikonfüllung welches den Geruch sehr gut absorbiert, so dass einem auch bei vollem Eimer kein extremer Gestank entgegen kommt wenn man ihn öffnet. Bei geschlossenem Eimer und verriegeltem Deckel kommt kein Geruch raus und das Teil ist wirklich dicht.Unser Fazit, eine sehr gute Lösung und absolut empfehlenswert. Der Preis ist etwas hoch aber wenn das Teil sich in der Langzeitnutzung weiterhin bewährt am Ende doch gerechtfertigt.Bleibt abzuwarten wie lange das Kissen den Geruch absorbiert und ob und zu welchem Preis man dieses nachkaufen kann.

Come già anticipato al venditore sono rimasta entusiasta. Il contenitore è massiccio ed arrivato ben imballato. L'unica "pecca", ma sicuramente risolvibile in tempi ragionevoli, è la mancata opportunità di acquistare da subito anche ulteriori sacchetti in aggiunta a quelli dati in dotazione. Intendo farne una bella scorta per cui confido di trovarli su Amazon a breve. L'acquisto merita.

I was thinking to myself... "Its just a bin! Is it worth the money?" But was sick of using poop bags for my housecats (we live next to the main road and we are planning to move, so they have a catio at the moment for their safety) and their various litter boxes. Even though these bags were biodegradable you still get through alot of them over the week.Anyhow the bin arrives- its very sturdy and great quality! I love that you can use whatever bags you like with it (no faffing around or buying bags designed for the product/brand only which often cost much more). You are also given a few bags to try with the order.The handle on the bin makes it very portable to sort out various litter boxes around the home. Its a good size- not too small or too big and bulky and not heavy. I also love that you can remove the inner part of the bin very easily- so limits mess. It looks neat in the cat room and no more odours- fantastic!!Highly recommended! A*

I originally purchased this when it was very pricey in Australia, and what originally drew me to it was the look, size and fact that you can use any bags with it. At the current price of $65~ AUD I would say it's definitely worth the cost.Really happy with the unit which we store in our bathroom behind our waste bin.There's been no detectable smell so far.My partner likes how easy it is to carry around the house to the litter trays.We have three cats who are very fussy about dirty litter, and it usually lasts a few days before needing to be emptied - we use breeders choice litter which is non-clumping. I think if you were using clumping litter with less cats you'd have to empty it much less frequently.
