When the well-worn Talk button started to stick on the handset of our mother's previous Panasonic system after years of excellent service, she wondered if another handset could be purchased to operate with the base phone, which was still working great. It is not easy to find a handset for an old model, unless one is willing to pay a King's ransom. So we looked for a new set. Her only rule was that it had to be Panasonic again. After reading a number of reviews online, this was the system we opted for. It arrived a week early, which was great since it was a Mother's Day gift. The new set is very similar to the other one and was fairly easy to set up and program with the directions. Pretty easy to use, too, which is important for someone who does not have a computer or tech background, though she learns quickly and doesn't mind reading the manual that came with it to troubleshoot little things. She has only been using it for a few weeks, but is very happy with it so far. The Call Block feature, which stores up to 250 calls, should get lots of use. It is a bit smaller and thinner than the previous model, but, hopefully, will last as long as that one. The sound is clear, and volume works well. She's happy so we're happy. I would say 4.5 stars for now, but 5 if it proves itself over the long term.

Compared to others we've purchased, the volume is a little lower but not a deal breaker. The intercom is one of the better features -- better and more elegant than shouting, "Dinner's ready!"

I gave 5 stars for a few features built into the phone. The Panasonic phone was delivered to my house on time as expected. The phone has quite a few essential features which I need the most. It includes: call block, remote call to check the messages while you're at work, call groups sound and tone settings etc. The package came with 3 cordless phones. They all link to each other wirelessly as you only need one phone jack for the phones to function. In brief, I really like the phones, and recommend to every one.

I am enjoying my phone. It was exactly what I ordered and it does have a Jack to attached a headset on all 3 phones. The only issue i don't like about the phone is that the numbers don't light up that great in the dark. Other then that the phone is amazing. Great service and no issues with delivery.

We endured motorola phones for a year. I say endured because they were, by far, the worst phones we ever owned. Just took it for granted landlines were well-established technology and bought the moto's last Christmas (2014) on sale. The first set we got were so bad and so unusable Motorola replaced them with an entirely different model. These replacements were awkward, with byzantine menu layouts and incomprehensible features that were more of a hindrance. We hated them. After a year outgoing voice stopped working. We checked and checked and did everything we could. No feature was enabled to prevent voice, it was definitely a hardware problem. The final nail in the coffin as far as we were concerned, and an excuse to get new phones. After that horrible experience we were pretty leery, but the Panasonic KXTGF343B turned out to be THE BEST landline phones we've ever had. The high contrast white display is very easy to read even for older adults with poor close vision. The button presses are accurate and immediate and voice is clear both outgoing and incoming. Answering machine is easy to use. One feature we really, really like is the voice caller ID. Didn't know the phones had this before plugging them in and using but what a convenience! No more rushing to the base station and squinting to read the caller ID. Pronunciation of names is good and the phone will give you a few rings before calling out the name in case you have it right with you.All in all a solid five star product with zero complaints or issues after using for a month. Friend in work recommended Panasonic for landlines and I have to say I'll never go back to anything else. If you're looking for no-nonsense landlines for home or small business with a few nifty features (that can easily be disabled or adjusted) go for these and don't look back.

I love this phone set!I know home phones are slowly becoming archaic, but for those of us who live in the rural parts of our vast country with bad cell reception, they are still a necessity. So let me go through the features that I find glorious on this product:1) The battery back-up! We live in the Adirondacks, and are prone to electrical outages. My one daughter has a developmental disability and I need a reliable phone during these outages in case we need to call 9-1-1. This phone set has a nifty feature that uses the phone's battery to backup the base unit! We just had an outage last night, and since I had a fully charged phone on the base unit, I didn't have to switch back to the ole corded phone that doesn't require electricity. And, since this unit has 2 phones, I always have a fully charged back-up phone to use for power!2) The block feature. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE with a home phone knows of the nuisance that is telemarketers. This is the main reason I bought this set- a phone with a built-in block feature. And boy, does it work! Whenever we have an undesirable caller, I just click the "call block" button on either the phone or base unit and BAM! Their calls never get through again. I believe the unit can hold up to 250 blocked numbers, which is great! I can also go back into my missed calls or input a number manually to block, so it's easy peasy to get rid of people.3) The base unit. I love the speakerphone and dialing pad on the base unit. It's like having 3 phones instead of 2! With the base unit on my desk, I don't need the phone itself. I can just press the speakerphone button on the base unit, dial the number, and talk. Very useful. Now, the downfalls:There is no mute button on the phone itself. That's aggravating, because I'm a mother of 5 and sometimes do not want my conversation to include "GET YOUR FINGER OUT OF YOUR NOSE AND CLEAN YOUR ROOM!" My old phone had a handy button, and I miss it. I just put my finger over the speaker, but on occasion, this hasn't been effective...Also, there's a "Flash/Call Waiting" button that I find unnecessary. Most phones these days allow you to just press the "Talk" button to switch between calls, but this one has a special button. Just for sheer convenience, I prefer the "Talk" button to double as both, but to each their own.Overall, I give this unit 5 stars because it's a lifesaver that I find it quite easy to operate and the features are amazing. The mute button and call waiting buttons aren't a deal breaker, but just observations.
