Was hesitant after reading the reviews but got it for the price and it was worth it.I was looking for an infrared light so I could play VR while in bed without annoying my spouse or the dog and this works extremely well. Our bedroom is large (about 11' X 11') with a walk through closet (another 5' long) and I put this on the headboard behind me. It lights up the entire space making it VR (Oculus) usable and I haven't had it lose tracking unless I turn the light off.

Works great, no need to turn on all the house lights. I can use it in the dark. I bought two of them, one in each opposing corner of the room for maximum coverage.

Unit cane with a short power cord but is very powerful and the articulating base makes it easy to mount and point

I got these so I could use my Apple Vision Pro in the bedroom with the lights off. It improves the tracking ever so slightly and I get the 'low light' notice a little less. I used to get the notification very often when just using/navigating the OS. Now, I only seem to get it when I first put on the Vision Pro. That being said, I wouldn't say it's completely devoid of outputting visible light, I still see a faint red white in a dark bedroom. It doesn't seem to bother my wife though.

I got this because my only PSVR2 gaming time is at night and we don't have enough regular light available near the PSVR2 console (and even if we did, I'd prefer not to have a bright room late at night since that'll be a problem for the rest of the family).I got a wifi controlled power switch and then mounted this on the wall. It works great. I chose to use a Wi-Fi switch so I can turn this on or off from my phone. I like this particular IR illuminator since it does NOT have an ambient light sensor. That means I can choose when it is and isn't on and it won't turn off if it happens to think there is enough light (even if the PSVR2 disagrees).I've had zero problems with the illuminator. It looks like a floodlight from inside of the PSVR2 passthrough so I can see it's certainly working and quite powerful. Tracking with the lights off (except this illuminator) is just as good as tracking with a fully lit room.My only complaint is I wish the swivel in the base could move around just a bit more to the left and right. It's fixed horizontally, but you can rotate the light about 180 degrees up and down. It's not a huge issue, but when you mount it on the wall, it's a little more awkward since you don't have a lot of choices about where the cord comes out given that you need to mount this in a specific orientation. If you're having issues with PSVR2 tracking in low light conditions (or simply want to play in the dark), this is a great fix for that.

Like many I often got the Low Light warnings on my Apple Vision Pro when using it in bed at night. Purchased this model which had been reviewed well by many users and even though it’s above me on my headstand and kind of pointing more forward than downwards, I’ve no longer received any Low light warnings at all. Only minor dislike is that the power switch is on the cord which means pulling it up from behind my solid headstand every time to switch it on and off; I would have preferred the switch to be on the device itself. Also, since I’ve fallen asleep several times and only remember to switch it off the next day it’s surprisingly warm but not hot. Just an FYI.

I bought this so i can use vr in the dark and it works well. In the dark it looks like a slim red light , but it really allows me to reach everywhere in the room as though it was illuminated. I also had this thing pointed up into the ceiling, so the ir light was likely bouncing everywhere. Some things to dislike: fairly cheaply made. All the parts are not adhered and any part can be taken out by accident, including the chip used to power the device, the rotating mechanism also falls out if you tug at it too hard. Mounting it on the wall was sort of a pain as well, there are holes that you can slip on and secure but it has to be done from the top, meanwhile the cable has to be routed underneath so the design was clearly an afterthought.Overall, given what i've seen from others, this is the best design. And really how can i complain when I've been using it consistently and only concern for the design was during assembly.
