it sound like I am repeting myself! I just got 3 parcels and I am not feeling well but I try to do my best with the feedback and reviews.Well, I am 58 years old, when I was a young man, I did at the time purchase those albums as they came out and seen him with or without his brother about 4 time.that was in Montreal, but I really love this set, the price is great, comes down to about 4 dollars a piece, and the box is the same size as a regular cd box but it has all the album in a paper sleeve. so, even though it is nothing like a japanese sleeve, it is not exacly the same, for exemple still alive and well don't open but I didn't expect anything like this for this price, but at least it gives you a good picture of the front cover, for memory lane.but really if you have those basic album, that is all you need. Me I like his music a lot and I still purchase at time his album.but, when you think about it, he must be getting up there in age, though a friend of mind in Quebec told me that last summer, he did do a concert in I think Quebec city and he needed help to walk to where he sit down to play.but mind you, when I was young and he was not that old, he was doing in anyway, sitting down a lot to play.But if you like him but don't want to dish out a lot of money, this is it, it is even cheaper than the download that you can get legaly you know.so, it is a good purchase. I intent to get more in this collection.

Wow. Had some Johnny albums back in the day This guy is great. Nothing fancy or complex just good simple raw blues from a guy who loves to play his Gibson thunderbird

If you like Johnny this is a bargain. It's all music and no liner notes but the relevant info can be found on-line easily. Love JDW 111 and takes me back to university days when screaming guitar and voices were the sound of the times. This fellow can play guitar and sing with the most down and dirty rockers.

I had all these albums growing up and all are in poor shape. I resisted buying the individual cds for a variety of reasons but this packaging and pricing is unbeatable. No more breaking plastic CD cases, all 5 in one slipcase and affordable.Johnny's career is long with many ups and downs but this Columbia period is Johnny at his rockin best. This is quintessential Johnny Winter.

Great value and a good way to replace worn vinyl. Too many highlights from the late great JW - perhaps Sweet Papa John on the live disc - I had forgotten what a treat that one was.
