How does a person prove how good they are at a given activity...usually by showing a past history. David Coverdale has worked with one of Rock and Roll's longest lived bands Deep Purple as Vocalist then in the same capacity with his second group Whitesnake.. It would be safe to say then that he has earned a place in the History of this Music, The second Musician needs never to prove his position his name is Jimmy Page and he has been around the business since his early Teen years First with Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck in the Yardbirds, that was a seminal band that featured so many grand artists a whole section could be written on them. Page moved on quickly after the Yardbirds as very shortly after that he was involved with the formation of LED ZEPPELIN and stayed with them until their dissolution after which he did a number of solo numbers along with some session work with the Black Crows, and a number of other bands. Now he is here with David Coverdale doing what would seem like a natural combination and this is a good combination, the true test being the ballads which play out very sweetly indeed, and how could they end up anything else with Jimmy at the helm of the Guitar work....Spigomars

Despite being a huge fan of Jimmy Page, I've always been put off buying this album by the countless dismissive reviews out there. But on first listen this is a very cool album, and is a much more coherent effort than Outrider (although there are good moments in that album too). Page's playing is very creative and assured, and Coverdale's vocals are perfect for the songs. If you don't try to hear Led Zeppelin in this band but take it for what it is, it's a great hard rock album, with classic Page guitar work. I'm glad I finally bought it!

This 1993 release is a collaboration between Jimmy Page (formerly of Led Zeppelin) and David Coverdale (formerly of Deep Purple and Whitesnake). This album has not really gained much attention since its release but it should be of interest to Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple fans.Jimmy Page turns in a great performance. The guitar work on this album is comparable to Led Zeppelin in their Physical Graffiti period. David Coverdale is a good vocalist; I liked his work with Deep Purple but his work with Whitesnake does nothing for me. He's no Robert Plant but he does a good job on this album.Bottom line: if you're a Led Zeppelin fan, this album is worth checking out for Jimmy Page's performance.

An essential addition to the music collection of anyone who enjoys classic rock and blues. Probably Coverdale's finest hour. Page shines. Not a weak track on the album, this should have been HUGE but was overshadowed by grunge and by morons in the music press who were quick to dismiss it as a Zep cover band. Buy it, you won't regret it.

The best Jimmy Page album outside Zeppelin. Coverdale is superb! Sadly it didn'tLast and Page's next studio album with Robert Plant was a disaster.

This could be the next very successful Zep album. It is at pair with all first four LP by them. Coverdale is not an iota worse than Plant. Page is excellent and the rest of the band rocks hard as well. Super addition for all zeppelin lovers.

Has it really been close to 10 years since this album first came out?! Even after that much time the album still ROCKS with the professionalism of two seasoned musicians. Coverdale never sounded better and Page seems more honest here than on any of the 'reunion' records made after this album. The power of the album is in the first-rate material and amazing rhythm section. Coverdale and Page play off this with absolute command and power. 'Shake My Tree' starts off the proceedings with one of Page's best guitar openings. It's the kind of opening that let's you know that this album demands your full attention and will get it. 'Over Now' is the album's heavy metal masterpiece. 'Easy Does It' has all the LZ bravado with the light and heavy construction that Page is famous for. The album's final track, 'Whisper A Prayer For The Dying', is Coverdale's finest moment on the album both in lyrics and in performance. Page sets up the drama perfectly and the band plays to perfection right up to the fade. It's a real shame that the collaboration didn't take off because this album still remains a favorite. In 1993 his album was sorely needed to wake us up from the dull sleep that MTV had put us in. 'Coverdale Page' is just as vital and important today as it was then. Coverdale spoke of songs recorded that didn't make the final cut for this album. We can only hope for a remastered version with extras!

Geniale Scheibe! Musikalisch herausragend in kompositorischer wie handwerklicher Hinsicht (Gesang Coverdales und Gitarrenspiel Pages); kraftvoller Rock und wunderschöne Balladen, die zu den schönsten Rockballaden gehören, die je geschrieben worden sind (Don't leave me this way, Take me for a little while).Der Verriss dieser Platte zur Zeit ihres Erscheinens durch die Musikjournalisten ist eine Schande für diese Zunft, die die Meisterklasse und wahre Qualität dieser Musik nicht erkannt, da sie diese scheinbar nur unter den Scheuklappen von Zeitgeist-Aspekten beurteilt hat.Unbedingte Kaufempfehlung, ein Muss für jeden Hardrock- und Musikliebhaber! Klassiker.

Disco imprescindible.
