About this item

  • MATERIAL: Made of natural rubber, with excellent expansion and recovery.Recommended inflation for daily use: 30 PSI !!
  • SIZE: The diameter of the rubber plug is 1.75 IN in the non-inflated state. The maximum diameter expands to 2.25 IN when 40 PSI air pressure is applied. The chain length is 15.7 IN and the ring diameter is 2.34 IN.
  • PRODUCT DESIGN: The copper valve core wrench can loosen the internal valve core when deflation is needed. Deflation is convenient and quick. The 2.34 IN ring diameter prevents the rubber plug from falling into the pipe when deflated
  • EASY AND CONVENIENT TO USE: Just insert the inflatable plug ball into the drain pipe, slowly inflate it with a standard bicycle pump, then drain the water into the pipe and start testing. When the pipe plug balloon is deflated correctly, just pull it out.
  • APPLICABLE SCENARIOS: Pipe test balloon plugs are very suitable for shower drains/floor drains/bathtub pipes/bathroom pipes/toilet tees/swimming pool pipes/underground drains/underground sewage pipes.

Having some issues in a home that I purchased and I wanted to do some tests on some of the pipes and this made it very simple and easy to do that. Just dropped it in pumped it up and made that seal from there. It was easy going I have no complaints. It has a great durable rubber design that seems like it will hold up a good long while and for the price you can’t beat it. It has many different applications and will create a tremendous seal. I’m happy with it.END RESULT: good price , great fit, get the job done quick. Good product.

Product should withstand 40 psi. I tested this at 30 psi in a 2" shower drain pipe. Plug held back water for about 6 minutes then blew out a small hole along one of the ridges on the side and deflated, alllowing the water to drain out. Plug would no longer inflate. Product was poorly manufactured.

This rubber test pipe plug will be very handy for anyone that needs to plug off a pipe for testing, or repair. There's really not much to say, it feels pretty thick (durable), and comes with a valve cap that also has a valve core remover on it to deflate the plug when you're done. It will be very handy for me when I have to drain my spa to replace a light bulb and need to plug the return line to prevent backfilling from the pool. Before, I had to wrap a rubber ball in duct tape and pound it into the return pipe to accomplish this. This will make it leak proof, faster, and much easier.

Will not hold pressure. Pops easily. I bought six of these. None of them worked. I had to buy Cherne. All six of them worked perfectly.
