I usually don't write a review until after the product has had a chance to "prove" itself but in this case it was a "no-brainer". Package arrived in good shape but that is as far as "good" went. I chose to believe in the positive reviews but as it turned out they were the lucky ones cause this was a tragic from "power on". Connected a brand new quality 4 ohm speaker to the output, sweep generator to the input and a precision power supply to the power terminals. I adjusted the power to 12 volts to start with and while the sweep generator was putting out a linear sweep pattern as viewed on an oscilloscope, all I got from the speaker was an occasional chirp. I increased the power to the "recommended" 24 volts and still only an occasional chip which after a minute quit and the power supply dropped to 4 volts and the current maxed out at 5.5 amps (protected max of the power supply) and the heatsink on the board started getting hot. The board says it has all those protections built in so I allowed it to sit and cool and when the supply was turned on again it went to 5 amps again. I measured the six electrolytic capacitors and they showed a short. The heat sink was checked and found not to be parallel to the board and having bare leads sticking up that may have shorted out. Bottom line is it appears the assembly was poor and no indication any QC was preformed. If you like to gamble the price is right but be prepared to loose the hand. Not even worth the cost of the parts.

This little amplifier is NOT a 150W. the specs on this TI amp chips are2 × 50 W Into a 4-Ω BTL Load at 21 V (TPA3116D2)2 × 30 W Into a 8-Ω BTL Load at 24 V (TPA3118D2)2 × 15 W Into a 8-Ω BTL Load at 15 V (TPA3130D2) Even the best case with 24DC supply you might get close to 100W bridged.I am using 19VDC into this with a 8ohm speaker and getting maybe 10W.Update: I measured the RMS wattage of this at full volume and get ~36Watts with the 19V power supply. not even close to the advertised wattage. not even close to the "peak" wattage if 150W is peak. Which RMS is about half that at 75w.

I have purchased these single channel amps before and I have been very happy. This last order arrived with one of the power screw terminals missing.

The electric noise was louder than anything that I tried to droit out with. There is an extremely loud hiss all the time. Unusable.
