This pedal just makes my guitar sound like more. There are 4 dip switches that can set for various combinations of treble, bass and midrange boost and cut, and a gain control. This is a pedal you could use as a boost, but where it shines for me as an always on pedal that just adds "more' to my guitar.

Got it to add a clean clear boost to a les paul with little to no gain, hence the super clean moniker. As with any pedal it will take some playing with EQ and the pedal itself. I was trying to get a clean straty, syrupy, smooth tone and it is almost indistinguishable. It also adds good boost to a gained up dirty tone. Happy with it.

I play electric violin. I bought this pedal as a volume boost for solos but I ended up liking the sound so much that I leave it on all the time. It takes an already great sound and makes it even better. It helps to cut through a mix but does not sound harsh. One of my favorite things about it is that it is able to be powered by a 9volt battery. I let a friend try it on his electric guitar and he told me he will be purchasing one as well. One of my favorite pedals now. The build quality is exceptional as well. Built like a tank.

Super clean boost does exactly what it says.. great price.. able to select frequency response (bass-mid-highs) with dip switches on side..
