I didn’t think this product would work as well as it does, especially on all 2” pipe lines up fittings and pipe to pipe high low within reason and quick.

I actually don’t know any Pepe’s, but if I did, and they were 10”, and needed to be clamped, I’d make sure these were in my toolbox, right after I ran a spell check, and verified my translation.

I'm new to welding and so my hopes were that I could somehow use this to clamp pipe onto my welding table but that doesn't appear to be the case.It appears like this is only for handheld welding. There are grooves in a pivoting arm designated for 1" and 2" pipes and since this has an adjustable screw in the handle, you do have some leeway for in-between sizes.Opposite the pivoting arm are two other parts that swivel to help seat the pipe into the clamp properly and this is where I feel like the design could have been improved. Because of how this clamp is designed, those parts only swivel a few millimeters in either direction from a roughly 45-degree angle and so can't rest against a flat surface which might have made the clamp compatible with a welding table. The parts are riveted into place so it's no simple task to remove them to grind down the arm a bit and allow them to swivel further out. Now, I am going to question the utility of this product. As far as I can tell, being only for handheld use, the primary benefit of this would be to remove heat from reaching one's hands but I don't know of anyone who would weld without using gloves which makes that point moot. About the only use beyond that I can think of is welding two pipes together end-to-end as the swiveling arm is split so it can hold two pipes together with just enough room for a spot weld. However, if you need to weld two pipes together at any sort of angle, this won't work and for me, I feel I have better dexterity and control around aligning a pipe for welding just using a gloved hand.If you are the type of person who needs to weld several lengths of pipe together end-to-end or want the added safety of a clamp to dissipate heat, this clamp is a great solution. I might keep this around to see if I can modify it to use with my welding table but otherwise, it's going in a drawer somewhere until I decide I need to clean out my workshop.
