Have had a roll of it to test for the last year. It works well, and the rolll has held up in cold/heat/humidity, inside a backpack I've been using it when I need a cheaper gaffer's tape like when I know I'll be rigging the same thing many times for short durations. It does well 90% of the time, but on some surfaces, particularly metals/glass, and when warm, it will leave some residue. In particular, when using it to secure a microphone around a car engine or exhaust it doesn't hold up like the more expensive 3m G2 or SureTape, and gets soft/sticky and slightly loses grip, but is more than sufficient for many jobs. I've also found other purposes for it like organizing wires.

We have used this to stick upon some nice furniture and to stick down cables. I do find if you have temperature fluctuations, the stickiness wanes, but other than that, it's rugged, durable and sticks.

It sticks okay on flat surfaces, but as soon as you try to tape something with an irregular shape, it always comes off after a day or two. I just wanted to compare it to ULINE GAFFER'S TAPE, and I can confirm it's not even close. It's thinner, and less robust. Don't buy it for critical components.

I found this brand to be thinner and the adhesive wasn’t as reliable as the Amazonbasics brand of the same type of gaffers cotton tape.

This is more like an imitation Gaffers tape. Definitely shouldn't be used in place of the real product. This tape has very weak adhesion and will self remove on it's own. Using it to secure wiring could result in liability as a proper Gaffers tape is trusted to secure cords and wires to prevent tripping hazards. This product need to be re-engineered or be sold as just a black fabric tape.

Love, love this tape. I have used it a bunch of times since I discovered it and so far it has not failed me. I am scared to use it on painted walls though as I don't want any accidents on clients' walls. I used it to secure my balloons out doors on a concrete floor and it held really well.

Very sticky and stayed in place. Used for packing. The red tape stood out so well it was very easy to ID my boxes at the airport baggage claim.

Pros:- Cloth is nice and matte black- Easy to tear, but strong- Super sticky- Comes off clean (so far, haven't left it on anything for too long yet)Cons:- Cloth tears along the grain too easily, so you get narrow strips hanging off- Too sticky, you have to be super careful to keep the tape from sticking to itself- Centre cardboard roll too big, which makes the whole roll much bigger than needed
