I have a 20 inch mower which is harder to manoeuvre as my yard has plenty of obstacles like trees, flower beds and rose bushes. I got this 14 inch because it's smaller and in theory more agile. The good:(1) Relatively lightweight. Easy to put in shed and take out.(2) Small enough to manoeuvre really well close to trees, walls, flower beds, etc.No string trimming needed, the mower gets close enough.(3) Seems very well built. Doesn't feel cheap.(4) Cuts very well. I see no stray grass, everything is the same height after mowing.(5) Adjusts the blade speed depending on thicker or thinner grass.(6) Mulches really well. The muclhes grass is shredded very thinly. Does a good job muclhing maple tree leaves as well. The not so good:(1) On a 2000 square foot lawn, not particularly thick, batteries are done right around the time I finish. It's advertised as 5000 square feet... Hard to believe it could do that much.(2) Batteries charge very slowly. Around 3-4 hours using the supplies charger.(3) The handles can be folded for storage, but they're not the quickest. You have to unscrew 4 bolts completely. No tools needed. But it's still more complicated than just having a couple of clamps to release and relock the handles. With that said, most 13-14 inch mowers are similar. It's not like the competition does something much better.Overall, I'm satisfied. It's not perfect, but it works very well.

I bought this mower for a couple of reasons. Firstly I wanted to go battery so I could stop trailing a cord from the front yard to the back and secondly because I already had other Worx tools so could swap in other batteries/chargers as needed. Now that I've had a good 4 months with the mower I'm still very happy. I have a relatively small, standard Toronto lot with a small square of grass out front and out back. When using it in 'Eco' mode I'm getting 4/5 cuts of both lawns, so charging the batteries maybe once a month to every 6 weeks. I had to use the 'Turbo' mode once when i left the grass too long and that did drain the batteries in one cut. For me this is fine though - 90% of the time I will be using 'Eco' mode and not having to charge it much. The lightness is definitely a bonus so I can carry it from the front to the back of the house without dropping clippings everywhere. On that note - I have only used the bag once, on the occasion that the grass was left too long. It did fill up fast and kept tripping the power off, but that could also have been down to moisture on the grass. For 90% of the cuts I've left the bag off and the mulch plug in and its worked perfectly, mulching up the grass small enough to avoid clumps. The final big bonus for me is that the handle folds up to the size of the mower. This has allowed me to store it on the bottom shelf of a storage unit instead of having to lean up against the inside of the garage like my old mower. Its not really much of a pain to loosen/tighten the four bolts every use as long as you make sure the cable to the handle does not get caught/kinked.Overall its done exactly what I needed it to with no complaints. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a larger (or even medium sized) lawn as its a smaller blade diameter and the battery won't last as long. But if you live in a city with a small lawn and little storage space its perfect.

This is a decent lightweight mower for home maintenance. It's not heavy duty mower and is quieter than most mowers as it's cordless. The product blurb said that the batteries are good for 5500 sq ft, but this is only possible if the mower is run in eco mode to maintain the lawn. When in turbo mode the batteries drain quickly. Also, the safety key requires TLC to ensure that the mower starts every time. One other thing to note is that there is some confusion between the product description and the images regarding the batteries. The product descriptions says that there's no batteries or charger included but the images say they are. In actuality, the batteries are sold separately. This makes the mower relatively expensive for it to be usable as you need 2 batteries and a charger. However, WORX say the selling point of the cordless lawn mower is that you can use the batteries on other WORX products but this only makes sense if you buy more than 1 WORX cordless power tool!

I thought it might be a cheap toy but it gets the job done with several height settings, quick charge, easy to assemble and very adequate for a smallish lawn. Runs for many hours. I debated long and hard but am satisfied.

I bought this WG779 lawnmower based on the positive reviews. When I opened the undamaged box, I found a little piece of orange plastic at the bottom of the box. I couldn't see at first where it was supposed to fit so I assembled the machine nonetheless. When time came to use it, I realized the broken plastic piece was the protruding end of the so called "Security Key" acts as a switch. The whole machine is useless without this flimsy, thin, fragile plastic piece.see picture. To prevent the hassle of returning it and convinced that replacements must be readily available, I contacted Worx customer service. They took 10 days before replying that YES they could replace it just to tell me 2 days later it was out of stock for months. That they had 2 spare ones but that I needed a USA address for them to ship it to me even though I’m in Canada ! They weren’t helpful, were slow to reply, they just waisted my time.Needless to say I won’t buy a Worx product again.

After my old gas powered push lawn mower gave out (after I nearly through my shoulder out pulling and pulling on the starter cord to try to get it to go), I decided to take a chance on a battery powered WORX cordless. Now after several mowings I am firmly convinced I made the right decision. This 14" WORX cordless is a champ! I needed a small push mower to do final trim mowing after I hit the yard with my 42" rider. This WORX is just perfect for the final trim, so easy to use around trees, plantings, flower gardens in the yard. It is light as a feather. The two batteries give me enough run time to do all my trimming. My wife (who was uncomfortable with the loud, smelly, noisy gas mower) loves this WORX cordless. The cut with the WORX is excellent, perhaps not quite as crisp as the gas mower, but I have learned that going a bit slower and setting the cut a notch lower results in a nice cut. I like the easy to install catcher for collecting clippings to add to my compost bin. The run time is very well match to my own (77 year old) run time. Assembly from the box was a matter of maybe minutes. The charger for the two batteries works overnight for a full charge. I love the "remaining battery charge" light on the mower. I would highly recommend this WORX 14" cordless mower and give it a FIVE STAR rating for value and performance.

I saw some negative reviews about battery life, which I don’t have the same to report. This lawn mower uses the larger 4amp batteries (2), and I can mow my entire yard (approx 75’x50’) and it takes about 2 bars on the battery gauge and I then use one battery to run the weed whacker just fine. The only “negative” would be the lowest/shortest cutting height is not very close cutting to the ground (approx 2.5” blade length). The bag does seem sort of small, but not a huge problem (IT WILL LOSE CUTTING POWER IF RUN WITH A FULL CLIPPINGS BAG).It’s very lightweight and quieter than my Shark vacuum.Damp grass doesn’t cause any function issues, neither does thicker weeds.Assembly was just four bolts to attach the handle. No flat ground in my back yard and this mower handles the terrain very well.

I was happy when my big, heavy gas mower died, as I'd been wanting to replace it with a battery-operated one. I bought Worx mostly because I already had the batteries and charger, even though the mower isn't as highly rated as some other brands. I got the relatively tiny 14" version because it was attractively low-priced and because my lawn is small. The only issue I had with assembly is that I didn't find the bag with the instruction manual, bolts for the handle, and another part or two until way too late. I downloaded the manual from the internet and printed the pages I needed. Then I found bolts for the handle in my garage and installed them. Then, more-or-less on a whim I looked under the deck, only to find the parts bag wedged under there. I had just assumed that it had not been packed byi mistake. It would have been nice if there had been some big, bright sticker on top of the mower or some other indication of where to look for it!The mower works very well. It's extremely light and maneuverable, and since my small plot has a very high percentage of garden edges that's a delight. I'm sure it's going to have enough power to handle even thick wet grass. And it's much quieter than a gas mower (though not as quiet as I hoped) and much better for the air, too. Battery handling is simple and it's super easy to start,
