Connecting to the unit wasn't too hard, but it seems to take your 5Ghz speed and drop it down to something comparable to 2.4Ghz. I get 170 Mbps down in my office, and after hooking this up I had about 35 Mbps.

It took about 10 minutes to install this signal Booster. Seems to be work fine. Would recommend this product.

Really wanted this to work - relatively easy to set up; once set up saw no difference in the signal strength on my basement TV; however, the really concerning issue is when I checked download speed against the original modem (100 Mbs), the speedtest when connected to this device was 10 Mbs!

But I contacted my service provider as I didn’t think the signal strength was the problem as Telus claimed. The receiver was the problem as Telus service person who knew what he was doing stated and replaced receiver. I returned this product to Amazon.
