I have two of the Berzomatic torches that I tried to use to braze aluminum. I was fixing aluminum patio chairs. This torch was far more superior and had a lot more heat. This torch allowed me to finish the job properly.Solid and Hot. I recommend this torch.

I am amazed at how good this is considering the price. I think it might even work for glass blowing smaller pieces. Works for I wanted tho for sure. I was a bit disappointed there isn't self start but I usually have a lighter so not end of the world

Torch head is pretty beefy, the connector ring very light aluminum. The flame was big and loud and hot; annihilated aluminum, copper, and glass very quickly. Also woke up my wife. For 20 bucks it's blazing hot.Initial torch had a bit of a leak; after turning off the valve, the mercaptan from the propane sort of wafted around. Contacted seller, they provided a replacement asap. Was very pleased with that. The instruction card states not to leave the torch on the tank when it's off; i assume that's because of some leakage, which isn't ideal at all. Have to pick it up and put it down many times in a session.Running the torch with the adjustment turned to lower areas will heat it up, be careful. There's apparently a second adjustment set screw in the valve stem that goes into the propane tank. I think it's tuned down as it is, so maybe the only direction you can tune it is for more fire...

Nice strong flame that can extend up to 20 cm from the torch, air/fuel ratio is adjustable with the metal band, and the throttling valve can be opened just wide enough to safely light the torch with a match. The hefty, nearly all-brass construction is also worth noting. The connector at the bottom does not rotate; rather the whole torchhead needs to be twisted on to a 1lb.-tank-type connector. The torch I recieved did not leak when I first used it, but I had put some nickel anti-sieze on the threads beforehand to be on the safe side anyways.

This thing packs a punch!! Holy smokes!! The only thing that would make it better would be some sort of self ignition... However those things always mess up... This thing is industrial!! Have a cutting torch sparker on hand. Recommending to anyone that needs a torch head ..

Couldn’t liquify silver rod with MPS gas for high pressure weld, got red and pasty, missing probably only a few degrees for proper flow, unfortunate

Fits disposable bottles perfectly, is impressively light, and takes up little space. Have been happily surprised and impressed with this little flame thrower.Good material, excellent tool.

I attached it to a fresh canister of gas and checked if it was operational, which it was, then I disengaged it and walked away to get something. It then exploded at the base of the torch while I was away from it. Thank god I wasn't holding or using it.

Can work soft glass well. The adjustable air intake is very handy. Has lasted a year of heavy use no problems. Can’t beat the value.Stronger, wider flame than any other torch head I’ve tried under $40

Okay I want to love the torch but the little metal collar used to adjust airflow to the flame is flimsy and mine warped. It's not the biggest issue, I tried to bring it back to true with pliers but didn't have any luck. Being wrapped makes the flame tip a little less clean and a little less defined. It lets too much air leak into the system but not so much that it makes a huge difference. It's easy to use but the dial is touchy; you think you have the flame just how you want it then let it go and it goes out or comes blasting out. You have to make sure you don't push or pull the knob as you adjust otherwise you run that risk. It's worth the price and looks nice. The flame can get pretty hot and has a good length to it when you open it up. I'd buy it again.
