I used this connector to hook up an external battery. This connector was bigger than I anticipated but the 10awg wire I used had room to spare in the solder cups. I used 10/3 electrical cord and the strain relief on the back side of the connector griped nicely. I drilled a 1-1/16 inch hole to mount the female side to the case. This is a heavy duty connector that worked well.
