This is a gift for a five year old girl. I heard back from her mum this is the her favourite birthday gift. It looks very fancy.

Okay so I want to start this off with letting everyone know how I fixed the face recognition issue! I, like many others, was having trouble getting this thing to recognize my daughter's face for the unlock and the pet feature. The trick to getting this to work is to make sure that when you set or reset the face recognition, have the device set down on a sturdy, non movable surface! I found that if we tried to hold it in place it would never work. It has to not be moving AT ALL for it to work it seems! Same goes for when you try to unlock it or get it to read a face properly - set it down before it starts to scan. Haven't had an issue since!Other than that problem, the device works great and my daughter absolutely loves her diary!! Lots of super cool features on it and she can use it on her own with ease. Only docked the 1 start because of how difficult it was to get the face scan to work. But for those you who are having issues, please try this! Hope I could help :)

La camera n'est pas très bonne, ce qui rend la reconnaissance faciale difficile pour un adulte et impossible si l'éclairage est mauvais. Ma fille de 5 ans y arrive seule du premier coup 3/4 en plein jour mais jamais le soir ou dans une pièce qui n'a pas la lumière direct du soleil, comme ca chambre qui a une vue nord :(Pour le reste ca fonctionne bien. The face detector not working. After using for 3months, the diary cannot open, so the password cannot works too.

I highly recommend you purchasing a micro-SD card with this product. My daughter loved-loved this so much that she filled the data in about a week. Honestly, she played it non-stop so that’s why it filled. But girls will love this toy 100%!!!Updated to the post :: Okay now my daughter’s best friend is in love with this. So for her birthday I got it for her. She now loves it too! My daughter has had it for 7+ months and still plays with it regularly. This is a great toy that promotes writing.

No lo devolví para no romperle el corazón de quitárselo ese día. Tómenlo en cuenta antes de comprarlo y no les pase lo que a mi.

My daughter LOVES this journal! It has facial recognition so she feels that it’s both secure and personalized for her. She also has her own pass code in the event the facial recognition doesn’t work. (But it works great!). There are parent overrides to get into it (which she doesn’t know about). You can video blog journal entries, play games and it has given her hours and hours of entertainment and joy.
