Stoked on this unit! I am going to put one in every human in my life’s Christmas stocking next year!So far so good….seems to have good suction and great neck stability and control. I am not sure how often I should change filters as I hate manuals

No more smells when soldering or gluing. Unit is solid and good quality. Hose stands up by itself and is easy to position. Not tipsy and can sit on floor, besides workbench. Highly recommended.

I solder a lot of electronics and have required a better solution for fume extraction. I purchased and set up this new unit and tested the suction power of it. Unfortunately it isn’t as strong as I required. The nozzle has to be very close to the workstation and interfering with site and mobility. This was to replace my prior setup that included a small 110cfm fan drawing air to the second exhaust fan that vents to the outside.I found that smoke would still escape upwards and linger.Pros: It is a sturdy unit and the hose does articulate quite well. The adjustable fan is a good feature. I did notice a bit better air quality (when all of the fumes were captured)Cons: Not enough air flow for my setup. The hose funnel could be much larger, capturing more stray smoke. The ventilation of the unit is on the bottom and blows air back towards the work area. I will need to build a box that stops that.Just a small note: The power switch is installed upside down, too.Results: I have had to keep my existing exhaust fan in play, in order to capture the fumes from the soldering station. I am looking for a large funnel that can capture more fumes from the work area. Will build a box to block airflow back towards me.

I really love the machine, I had some trouble with the hose, it is a good quality sturdy hose, but it split in the center when I went to adjust it, only had this problem one time. I emailed the manufacturer to find out if they had a replacement? It took a few days but their service was very caring and understanding, I will be receiving a new one shortly. One of the owners emailed me, which shows they're very attentive to customer needs. The overall quality of the machine is very good, it is very well built. The sound is low and of pleasing volume, I can still hear my music and it just sounds like mellow white noise in the background. When I use it, I smell no smoke from my wood burning at all.-Good quality-Very acceptable sound volume-Great, trustworthy customer service.-Does what it says it will do/ good suction, no smell or fumes-looks much nicer than alternative brands-very easy to operate and assembleI see this machine as a very good investment, and will be buying their brand again.

There are several same models in search and I decided this one to try. It works very good and all the fume were taken care of. There are extra filter form comes so you can change as needed. I simply vacuum the collected dust. We don’t need to care about noise so much so this works great. No issues so far

Upon the company learning of the misfortune of my machine, they refunded me immediately and have helped me to get another one sent to me. Customer service was very friendly and response time was very quick and they wanted to help resolve my issue . I will update further once I purchase the new one

UPDATED: Wilson from Valcan fixed the issue and sent me a brand new unit. Totally remedied the situation. I stand by their products, and they seem to be a very good company. Very communicative and attentive.Old Review/: After 3 months this unit suddenly stopped working. I know someone else who bought the same unit directly from Valtcan and theirs stopped working in less than 2 months. We are both VERY confused. I was using it one minute, and the next minute it just wouldn't turn on. I didn't move the unit or anything. Nothing changed besides it not working.Before that it was totally working fine. Decent suction. I just don't know what happened.I am mostly writing this review to contact Valtcan so they can fix mine or send me another one.

The fume extractor came in a big box with filters inside, extra prefilters and hose attachment. The filters need to be taken out of their packaging and installed. I found some extra padding or packaging material at the bottom as well that needed to be removed before turning on. The unit is very sturdy and feels industrial with metal housing and handles. As an engineer I appreciate the build quality. The hose split near the end when bending it too much. I thought it was broken but was able to pop it back in and it works fine now. Overall happy with this purchase.
