I bring this back country camping when I have rain in the forecast.It is made from a very durable strong material. It is waterproof, water just bounces right off. It's HUGE, which is nice for setting up a kitchen and sitting under during storms.I love the shape, allowing me to maximize my living area and being comfortable in rain.

An excellent kit, was very easy to setup, the reinforced rings are great, water just slides off and dried up on the sun in 5 minutes, the included ropes are fairly short and since I don't jave poles I had to use my won 15ft ropes for the center lines to tie it uo to nearby trees so wil be looking for poles next, but would highly recommend this tarp set.

Recently used this on a canoe trip. Did a great job. It’s not as light as some options but the price is great and it is nice and durable.

We used to put a heavy duty tarp from Costco over the table area of campsite but it was way too heavy for us to set up. So we decided to try this one out. It was AMAZING! Big enough but easy to set up as it's not so heavy. It rained quite a bit on our first night but we stayed dry under it and it had no issue at all! It is also very convenient to carry as it becomes small - and it's not too hard to put it back in the bag either! Highly recommend!!

I used a OneTigris A-frame baker's tent in medium rain. The tent was under trees and yet still enough water came down to leak into the tent. The tent fabric is rated 3,000mm. Out comes the tarp, rated 5,000mm. The underside remains dry as the desert sand! And I didn't have to sleep in a puddle.You will need to get 2 extra guy lines though as the 6 guy-lines it comes with are for the 6 loop holes o the sides of the tarp, which leaves the 2 loop holes on top empty, that is, you need you need to tighten the roof side and so you need a total of 8 guy lines, not 6. But once you do, it's very easy to tighten everything just so.But since it's a large tarp, you need to plan accordingly and hang it in an area surrounded by trees with enough space on every side to be able to unfold the fabric properly.Overall, a great buy. Don't know though how a 5,000mm tarp would perform in torrential rain. However, I learned that the key is to mount it so that the water keeps moving along. This means every surface needs to be angled towards the floor and as tightened as possible so as to not form any pockets in which water can accumulate and to have no loose fabric anywhere. Then since the water won't be able to stick to one spot, it will keep running, and if it does, no water should go through.

We went for first time camping and set up this over our tent. There was a severe thunderstorm with tornado warning. The tarp held up so well. We stayed completely dry, even with not doing a good job setting it up. Our tent’s rain fly doesn’t come all the way down, so probably this saved our day! It packs so well too. 100% recommended.

Easy to put up, waterproof, good sun shade, lightweight, packable, just the right size for putting up over a hammock between trees. Used several times and no signs of wear, good quality. I camp wild in the forest and this is a very good and useful thing, in case the weather turns out wet.

Boa tarp, tem uma dimensão adequada para a montagem que fiz. Acampei com essa tarp e montei na frente da minha barraca air quechua 4.1 criando uma área social ou varanda adicional. Utilizei postes que já tinha para sustentar a tarp. Peguei chuva leve a moderada e ela aguentou bem. Gostei. Essa é a segunda tarp Unigear que compro. Tenho uma outra um pouco menor.
