works as advertised. easy to use. Metal appears strong and not likely to be bendable by hand. No attempted thefts yet that I know of. Chocks ok but I would not rely on this unit alone for chocking.... I use a wedge as well as this lock.

I bought this as my insurance company requires this while my boat is stored in the driveway. Looks great, and works great. I gave value 4 stars as I did find it expensive. (if it lasts a long time, I may upgrade it to 5 stars for value)Easy to use, and I like the lock cover on it as well so protect it from debris.

Received the item, took it out of the package and checked it out. Seemed sturdy enough at first but then I noticed the key only turns 1/8 turn to unlock it, makes me wonder how well it is latched. Also the pin than locks the two halves together is only about 1/8" diameter. So I'm thinking this is going to be more of visual deterrent rather than an actual security device but I'm not going to damage it by trying to pry it off just to see how durable it is.Then again there is a saying "Locks only stop honest theives", if someone really wants your stuff, they're going to take it somehow.

Looks great and would probably work wonderfully. I’ve had one before and it was perfect, but when I opened this one up, turns out it didn’t have a key. Can’t return it and Trimax wants me to ship the entire thing to them. Like that would cost more in shipping than the thing is worth.

Received the first 2 of 3 today.Construction seem to be good. 3 keys is perfect. Will be able to lock my Honda Fourtrax perfectly well with the wheel jam to the rear brake so even if you unbolt the rim, the lock will stop it from being stolen.I recommend it highly. Color add to deterrent and make it easy not to forget to take it off before using the Fourtrax.Too bad the third one is B/O, hope it will arrive soon to secure my friend's trailer.Amazon has always given me a high degree of satisfaction so far. Price was cheeper than buying local and shipping was fast and delivered by UPS as promised.Feel free to buy it with confidence.

Bought these to discourage smash and grab thieves from stealing my cargo and boat trailers. The barrel locks are poorly made and regularly fail to lock or unlock. Despite using the lock cap to protect the lock against moisture and debris, the barrel locks fail regularly and require coercion to free. Today, in -10 wind, the lock failed to turn. It was not frozen and I used penetrating oil and then WD40 to lubricate and clean the lock but the key would only turn 1/8 turn before springing back. Eventually - despite babying the key and jiggling the unit - the key broke, and I had to cut the lock off my trailer wheelLucky for my frozen fingers, these are so poorly made that my garage-sale grinder with a tile wheel (!) went through this like butter in about 2 minutes. I spent 30 trying to free the lock. Should have started with the grinder.Never again. Could not recommend less.If you have purchased this already, my recommendation is to ~throw it away~ return it before you are stranded in the freezing cold trying to free your property from it's weak clutches.

It arrived on time and looks to be a well made product. I've not used it yet as it's off season and my trailer is in my driveway under cover. However, I'm pretty sure this will help ease my mind when I leave the trailer in campsites and go off on day trips with my truck. I doubt this is 100% thief proof (very little is). However, it's just one more thing slow thieves down and make them think twice about stealing my trailer. It sucks that we have to do this. Who would steal a camping trailer and leave campers in the lurch! So low.

Well constructed. But flaw is not enough key variations. Someone only need to buy one, get a key and open yours.

This seems like a great product. I use the word "seems", because there really is no way to tell unless someone attempts to take your vehicle/trailer/RV. That being said, the quality is a solid build. It's constructed of heavy steel and is powder coated with rubber ends to protect your rim from scratches. It's relatively heavy due to the build and will stay in place once set. There is a convenient locking cover to prevent debris from entering the key slots, which is good considering it is meant to be on the ground. As for a chock, it works, but since you can't make a solid connection to the wheel or wheel rim, there will be play. It's my opinion, the chocking feature is only to prevent it from being stolen. The only way to ensure it is used as a chock is to move the vehicle/trailer forward/backward to ensure the wheel/rim is resting on the lock itself. This may potentially make it difficult to remove until you move the vehicle back. I bring this up, because I look at this as a "lock" first and potential chock second. The lock/chock works to prevent the vehicle from being moved. This means, it is prudent to ensure your your trailer is properly secured and chocked by other means. This lock/chock should be used as a supplement and not your primary chocking device. If used on a motorized vehicle like your car/truck, then it is not that big of deal since it has parking brakes, transmission park, etc. I'm specifically referring to trailers that do not have their own parking brake systems like travel trailers. As stated, I use this to supplement an existing system. I use traditional chocks on my wheels as well as trailer hitch lock on my trailer as other means to secure my trailer. This is not (at least I don't think) to be used as a one-stop-shop device that can do both on its own. Overall, I would highly recommend this product due to its build and extra layer of protection. If you're an RV'er, this may not be necessary when you're actually on the road as most RV'ers look out for each other. That being said, when you store your RV, this is something you may want to consider to supplement your existing system.

Unfortunately I have to repossess cars that are due back to the company. But this makes it so easy. Once booted it does not damage the vehicle, it securely fits on most tires with ease. And it makes my job so much safer. This product can also be used when out of town and/or parked in a public questionable area during a game or event. Boot your car!!! I guarantee it will be there when you return.
