My HDTV, Blu-Ray player and Fibe TV devices all support HDMI connections, but my older Audio gear (Receiver, Speaker system) did not. Leveraging the speakers from my HDTV was just not enough, but I did not want to replace my older audio equipment. I noticed my HDTV had an optical audio port and my receiver had one as well. This allowed me to pipe the HDMI video from the sources (Fibe TV, Blu-ray player) into my HDTV, then pipe the optical audio out to my receiver and speaker system. This TOSLINK/fibre optic cable allowed me to make the necessary connections and still enjoy high quality sound.

Cable arrived in 2 days as promised was just the right length, easy to install and good quality. Local shops wanted 3 to 4 times as much for the same item so the price made an even better product.

Not the same cable as depicted on Amazon. No kabledirect inscription on connector. But after comparing to other cables its a nice sounding cable. Good bass and clear mids the highs are a little sibalent for dialogue but that can be adjusted . Over all for the price nice cable, better than the audioquest forest toslink it replaced. Sounds very close to the SKW for a better price. My gear. Denon 3806/Denon 2930 dvd/cd. Rotel RB 1080 /Chord mojo DAC/B+W 602 s3/ Velodyne sub/ Sony x90j Tv.

they work fine. Nice sturdy cable with good connectors into my components - the gold connectors are total BS because this is optical and it does't rely on electrical conduction

My LG QNED TV wouldn't work with a plain HDMI connection to an older Sony 5.1 home theater, requiring an ARC-HDMI (Both must have this), which the older Sony doesn't have. Other than purchasing a new amp, the remaining option was an optical cable. This optical cable installed easily, and now all is working properly.It's a nice looking cable, well covered and gold plated ends, but the bottom line is whether it functions properly. It snapped securely into place on both components, and performed as it should, so perhaps the initial fit issue mentioned by others has been addressed. As of now, I have absolutely no complaints, am completely satisfied with its performance, and can recommend this product, at least for this TV and amp combination.It should be noted that my setup has more than adequate cable length, is stationary, and with horizontal fitting, so perhaps this avoids the problem noted by others of the cable ends not remaining in place. It isn't clear whether this type of cable doesn't fit as securely as an HDMI, or if tension on the cable from moving, or being taut is a contributing issue for some, or would be so for any other like product.I bought this product, and have received no incentive to say other than my own thoughts. If this product proves to be less than satisfactory, I will change the review to reflect this. I hope this helped with your decision making.
