I was an early adopter of the Tepui rooftop tent years ago. I recently bought a new one after they were purchased by Thule. I was pleasantly pleased to see that the quality had actually improved! The Tepui was solid before. It is exceptional now! High quality fabric, zippers, etc. Even the cover has thoughtful extra padding to preserve it where it comes into contact with the ladder. Purchase with confidence!!!

Super bien !!

First of all - this is a great tent. There are a lot of good things about this tent.We just spent 4 weeks camping around Newfoundland and encountered various weather. We really like that it's off the floor. Coming from a 3 man back packing tent on the ground to this is like a 4 star hotel room. The mattress supplied is very comfortable. Set up and take down is very easy although taking down is a bit longer and fiddly. It's also dry. We encountered some wet days and we stayed dry.The tent is well ventilated so on warm days you don't bake but on those nearly freezing nights with the zips all closed up it retains heat nicely. So why not five stars?Well, these are picky things but they take away from the experience.1) Instructions are dismal, you can't use just the instructions and need to look on line to get tips in mounting to your vehicle and how to set up. I've been camping for 45 years and have some practical abilities, if you don;t the instructions are only good for fire lighting, that's about all.2) We met a young lady with an identical tent to ours on our trip so exchanged stories. She told us her zip that holds the cover on had started to fail - sure enough a week later our zip started to fail. It's where the zip goes over mounts for the strap that holds the ladder down. This is a tight point and stresses the zip every time you zip the cover on.3) On the ladder there are two rubber stoppers. These are essential for making the ladder close up. We managed to step on ours and break them off the first night. Held on with tape - Be aware of this.4) It doesn't fold up as neatly as in the manufacturers video - it fact it can take a few minures to tuck everything in so it doesn't catch on the cover zipper - practice makes perfect.5) You have to watch out the mattress doesn't get caught in the hinge on opening. I will make modifications during the off season to prevent it happening. That sounds like a lot of negatives but really the comfort and versatility of the tent make it worth while.

I’m really impressed by the build quality with the use of heavy duty feeling materials and the ease of setup. I would 100% recommend this tent for anyone in the market.

Have a Tepui 3-man which we’ve mounted on a Buick Enclave SUV. We live in the Canadian Rockies and use it multiple times per year, including in the winter in temps under 0C / 20’s F.Unlike a ground tent, you get an even, comfortable, mattress every time - no worries about rocks, bugs, wet ground, insect or animal incursion, etc. And for us, much better BEAR safety being elevated off the ground.Unlike a trailer, it can go EVERYWHERE your vehicle can go. And you need less ground space, if you can park your vehicle, you have the space to deploy the tent. With (2) people, we can erect and dissemble in less than 30 minutes, including the Annex attachment, which we 100% recommend for the extra covered storage space and privacy. The annex also allows you to open the enclosed car door and heat the upper sleeping space quickly in colder mornings. You can spend $30K on tent/RV trailers or this for well under $5K and enjoy the same camping experience.

I can't say enough about, it is awesome! I have pitched tents on the ground for years, dealing with different sizes and length poles, stakes, and strings. Aways spending more time then I should trying to find the best spot to pitch my tent, just to find out that I missed a rock or your going to uncomfortable all night on uneven ground. But not this thing! Once you get it mounted which is not to bad, just use some help it is heavy. Then just drive to your camping spot unzip the cover unfold it put the couple of rods in the window covers that is if you want and your ready to sleep. The pad that comes in the tent sleeps great, and it is so nice not only to be able to setup in minutes. But to wake up in the morning and feel great from having a great night sleep. You also feel a sense of security not sleeping on the ground. It packs up as easily as it unpacks, this giving you more time to do what you go camping for in the first place. You know to enjoy the outdoors! The quality of this thing is great made very well. We bought this for our son as a graduation gift for his jeep. After using it a few times I am wanting to get another to mount on our Suburban. Works great, sleeps great, and looks great. I definitely recommend this product.
