The OTG adapter worked as expected. It allows you to add a USB A port to a device that takes micro USB. I used it on my Fire Tv Stick to attach a USB drive. Keep in mind that in order to work, the device must have a micro USB port and support OTG . Most newer devices take USB C.

I purchased these to modify two SNES Classic mini consoles (bought one spare).2 out of three provided passthrough power to the unit, but none of them allowed USB data passthrough.Also tested with USBDeview.My four USB-A to micro data cables all connected fine when plugged directly into the SNES consoles.None of them could connect when plugged into these OTG adapters.3 out of 3 defective. Do not buy.

This is an USB OTG (“On The Go”) adapter. If your main device supports it, it allows you to add various peripherals and other devices that connect to an USB-A port to your main device. The most common examples would be adding keyboards, mice and external drives to your tablet and phone. Instead of using your fingers to control your phone, you could use a mouse and keyboard instead. While there may be alternatives (e.g. Bluetooth for mice and keyboards), this is the only way to connect USB memory keys and external drives. Not all devices support USB OTG. You will need to look it up. There are also apps you can install that will check for you. Just search for “OTG” in your app store.One way I use this when I go away for vacation, but still need to read and send a lot of emails for work. Rather than trying to use my finger to compose those emails, I use an OTG adapter and a combined keyboard/mouse with a tablet. It’s much more compact than bringing a laptop on my vacation, and if it gets lost, it’s only a $100 tablet, versus a much more expensive laptop.This particular one has the USB-A port on a 90 degree angle, as well as a micro USB port “passthrough” that still allows you to connect something else via micro USB, in addition to USB-A.I have tested it with my Fire Stick (2nd generation) and it allows me to use a keyboard in the USB-A port and still plug in the Amazon Fire stick Ethernet adapter in the micro USB passthrough port. I also tested it with my tablet and my combined keyboard/mouse. It worked perfectly in both cases.The only small issue is that ports aren’t constructed perfectly. It required more force than usual to get devices plugged into the USB-A and micro USB ports. Once plugged in, they required slightly more force than usual to unplug them. Otherwise, it worked great.

The TG 90-degree L angled adapter is inexpensive and provides an additional USB 2.0 port. I acquired this to add an ethernet adapter to my Firestick. Works like a charm. The USB power cable from your original Firestick charger plugs into this and then you plug the Micro-USB end into the Firestick. I plugged the USB 2.0 to Ethernet adapter into the available USB port on the adapter. The Firestick recognized that I had a wired connection, and it is faster than my Wi-Fi. No complaints. Worked without any issues.

This is a great OTG adapter for a Firestick, to add peripherals or expand storage. It can be a little wobbly in the port, but if itxs not moved around much it should be fine. If you do move your firestick around a small dongle on a cord may be better suited. There is a left or right version so you can get either depending on how much clearance you have. If your firestick is on a dingle itself you may be fine with either. Good little item to add functionality.

It is a basic OTG adapter with a micro USB port on the side for charging, to enable Android phones or TV sticks to use USB devices while not losing charging capability through the micro USB port. The item I got does work, but not letting me charge through it. Also USB-PD fast charging won't be available since they either require the data lines of the 4 pin Micro USB to decide which voltage the output should be.

I got this for 1 specific reason, i wanted to have all my roms on a flash drive ready and easily transferred to various galaxy devices at work. I was not about to re-download 1000 roms for my emulators just to put on my work phones. Works as it should. Side note, if you arent sure if your smart phone supports otg you can easily download an app from the play store that checks for you.

I've tried this adapter out on both a Fire Stick and a phone and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Not only that it saves the micro USB port from wearing out with all of the plugging in and unplugging that tends to wear out those ports over time. The build quality is pretty solid and seems like it should last a decently long time.

Make sure you are aware that this will not power certain devices when in use. If you need it to use on a device that also has ports next to it, then this could provide a different angle for the cable exit and make room for others. I have used it with my Shield streaming box to make room for the memory stick (the ports are close together). Micro USB ports are notorious for being wiggled until the point that the connections eventually break. This can save your micro USB connection over time by eliminating the need to wiggle the connection cord to the port.I recommend
