The folding flat thing is huge. I have several of these, and none fold flat. I have a tripod stand and a high "L" bracket stand, and both are difficult to transport. This is going in the road kit immediately. Straps easily to the side of a case, and from there, loading is simple. Durable enough for local and vicinity gigs, and small tours. I would point out that the graphic artist who made the ad pictures had no idea how it works. It's simple, effective, and works well. Cheers.

This amp stand works great with a Fender Blues Junior, as pictured. This rack serves to point the amp directly at you so you get the full sound of the amp... almost like playing in front of a monitor on stage. It is very easy to fold flat for storage. No assembly required, comes assembled.

Just received the SAT-1. Works for what I want, but disappointed it doesn't come with a wrench to adjust for tightness and angle position. Also, it doesn't always work for even lighter items to stop from folding backwards and having my amp or tv monitor I use falling back. I can always pack a crescent wrench and screw driver to gigs if needed, but it would be ideal if it came in the box/bag it comes in. Ideally the stand should have some kind of ratcheted or cogged grips at the screw-down point to stop the back support and shelf from falling back or flattening.

My husband is a guitarist/bassist and uses a small Fender combo amp for practicing at home. He had the amp tucked under a desk by all his music gear. This amp stand was great for his combo amp and was just the right size. He said that he wouldn't want to put anything heavier on the stand due to weight concerns, but it worked great for his amp. We haven't use this amp for performances since he uses larger equipment for live shows. This stand stays put in our house and it's perfect for that use. He loves that it tilts the amp up towards him so he can hear his guitar even better. The stand folds flat and can easily be stored away with minimal space. Overall, a decent stand for a small, lightweight amp.

My amp weighs 48lbs. This stand is rated for 60. It will hold my amp but has zero articulation at that weight. I don’t think I would trust it for anything heavier. It’s a little disingenuous to market the stand for medium to large amps. My half stack weighs 80 and it is by no means considered a large setup.Having the stand fully assembled is a nice touch. Sometimes you just want to pull something out of a box and just have it work, no assembly required.I would like to have a bit more padding since I am using the stand for dual purposes. It points the amp at me so that I can hear my own guitar when I’m playing with a band. The second is to isolate the amp from the floor when recording. It gets rid of the sub bass frequencies caused by having the amp vibrating on the floor. It works for my smaller medium sized amp but wouldn’t work for a tube amp or anything large.

I found the build construction on this to be a little flimsy but that isn't the real knock against it. The angle that it holds the amplifier at is too far reclined. There is no way to adjust how the amp sits. If the angle were a little more upright it would take up less space and do a better job of directing sound at you while you play. I probably won't wind up using it because of how it sits.

I got this cradle for my home studio and stage use, and it's working out perfectly. There is one minor design feature that I found a bit odd, and that's the cradle's angle. It's greater than 90 degrees, so my amp(s) wobble a bit, but it's not a big enough issue for me to deduct any points here. And it's designed for smaller amps, so I'm not concerned about vibration.I did test it out with seven of my practice and studio amps, and none had any power cable interference. It's also the perfect angle for stage use with my acoustic-electric guitar amp. No more milk crate! The hardware is all solid and sturdy, and it sets up quickly. It folds flat for storage, though it is a bit long. But, it slips under my sofa or stands upright without taking up much space. The non-slip feet keep it from sliding on hardwood floors, and the narrow footprint makes my setup look neat.I'm really pleased with this unit. It's durable, sturdy, nicely finished, fairly lightweight for gigging, the construction is solid, and it's easy to setup and break down.
