I have used this brand for the past few years with great success.I recently ordered a supply from Amazon and none of them worked!! The chemical in them may be outdated?? tried all four and not one of them worked to attract wasps.Purchased another one same brand at local hardware store and it immediately attracted the wasps.

We've been using these wasp traps for a few years now, and they are excellent. Just make sure to place them in a sunny place away from your main traffic areas. We hang ours from the roof of our shed. I end up topping up the liquid in the bags throughout the summer because it will evaporate. The best thing I found to attract the bugs is some Sprite, 7-up, or other sweet clear soda pop. I leave the same bag up all summer. The flies and wasps actually pile up inside and as they decay, they attract even more! For the most part, we never have a problem with wasps or flies bothering us during the summer because of these handy traps. I highly recommend!

I've had very good results from these, overall, but it took some experimenting to get them fully useful. I found that they need to be at least 1.5 metres off the ground, in partial to full shade, suspended in a "flight path" for yellowjackets, or suspended near something else that attracts them. Currently I have two of them in use. Both are quickly filling up and giving us some protection.

So, these hornet traps work really good. A piece of advice though; do not put them up during the daytime. The scent is so powerful you will be swarmed with hornets immediately. I set them up inside the house and my hubby put nails on the fence spacing them out about 20 feet or so. He took the readied traps out and hung them up. The bees, no matter what kind they are, do not bother him. By the next day our traps are about a third full. By the end of the week, they are full. I always purchase enough for about a month's supply so we have enough for a few go-arounds. They work so well I am no longer nervous to go outside. The bees absolutely dive bomb me whenever I go out. With these traps, this no longer happens. I love these traps.

They worked great! It takes a couple days but it really cut down on the number of them. Not an instant fix. I recommend not hanging them right next to where you are going to be because it attracts them.

Hung 2 of them up to stop Yellow jackets on each end of my awning on camper. It's been 24 hours and NOTHING in the bags. 2 kids stung today. Bees every where but in the bags. As soon as we bring out food they come in. They fly up to it then fly away. Caught more bees in a cut pop bottle than these over priced Pineda. Yea I'm going to smack them with a bat. Garbage

Use during yellow jacket season. We use the traps to entice YJs away from bee hives. Once they are inside the bag/trap, they can't get out.
