Easy to cut bike cables, nice to have a small pack of crimping blocks, this is a good purchase for "bike dudes and dudettes" at home; I do not think it would last long in a bikeshop, but for home/occasional use it is a perfect purchase IMHO. I have several bikes (gravel, road, enduro, BMX and fat), so this is super handy

If you’re just doing an annual cable replacement on your bike, there is absolutely no reason to pay $40+ on the ParkTool cable cutter. These cut housing and cable perfectly fine, and yes they leave a very clean professional cut. I’m sure they’ll last me many years, but if using for frequent repairs I’d possibly consider the ParkTool. For us garage bike mechanics on a budget, look no further.

I purchased this to cut bicycle brake and shift cables without them fraying, and it works perfectly, and cost a lot less than the well known bicycle tool brands, I highly recommend.

This is perfect for cutting 1/8" diameter 6 strand stainless steel cable. It cuts cleanly with no frayed ends. It allows clean cut ends to be fed through mounting holes, etc. I am not sure how long it will remain sharp, but I have used if for about 50 cuts so far with no observable degradation in performance. Great value for the price. I am ordering a second one just to have as a spare.
