This allows installers to tighten the cap with only one hand, which is especially useful for installing large format tile. When installation is finished simply kick off the caps to remove. The caps and bases are sold separately, the caps are reusable for multiple jobs.

I love these things. The worst thing I can say is that they can become a bit tricky to remove the tops if they don't come off when you hit them with a mallet.

I have done a number of home improvement tile jobs over the years and using the Spin Doctor system made my current job a breeze. The ability to space and level the tiles using the system was a HUGE time saver and completely eliminated the need to use a bubble level to assure consistency in the floor. I installed a heated floor mat under this floor and this system made installing tile over the mat and the transition from mat to bare floor super simple! Removal of the spacer bases and spin levelers was super simple and quick. I simply tightened down the spin caps until the spacer bases snapped off inside. Super easy and quick, took me 15 minutes to complete! I would recommend using this for any floor tile job and plan to use this on the wall tile installation soon!

I come from many years of using standard spacers. So, this is my first experience using a self leveling product. It took just a bit to learn to remove thin set before placing the spacers firmly parallel to the adjoining tile (versus rotated a bit) and tightening cap. But, once the process is in place, it was almost fool proof. Will use again in a month on another bathroom!

Easy to use. They space the tiles just like they are supposed to. When dry you take a hammer and knock off the stems. Very easy.

We tiled our bathroom floor using a level alone. We had a much larger area to do for our kitchen and opted for these hoping they would minimize lippage and create a nice flat floor. These were very easy to use and work much better at minimizing lippage than the wedge based system. I will say that tightening down the leveling caps sometimes will increase the tile spacing size. I would also use tile spacers to confirm your tile spacing remains even. Overall a great tool for big tiling projects.
