UPDATE May 1 2019. SoulBay resolved the issuet. Turns out that more amps were need by my massager at startup. SoulBay support was great and quickly resolved the issue for me. The supply has good build quality and the adapter plug was easy to fit in.Original msg:Hi, I received the power supply and it works intermittently. I am using this on a massager that is 12VDC and 1000mA rating. When I plug the SoulBay supply in, sometimes it turns on 1/8 or 1/10 times and works fine. However, most of the time it turns on briefly (green light on the power supply turns off and then on and then the massager does not turn on. I have to try this 8 or 10 times before it works. I have been able to verify with a borrowed power supply, that the massager works fine. I thiink that the auto shutoff features of the power supply are triggering unexpectedly. Please advise on what I can do to get a functioning supply.UPDATE Apr27,2019 SoulBay reps got in touch and I sent them photos. They believe that my massager draws more current during power up then it says on the power supply. SoulBay is working with me now and I will update later and change my rating if it works out.

Works well enough when one device is plugged into it. However, it does have problems powering a DC lead as well as USB at the same time. I was powering an arduino using the USB connector and at the same time powering a linear actuator with 12VDC. The actuator was rated at 1A at full load. The arduino was drawing about 30mA with a double relay connected to it and a clock module. This convertor is rated to about 2.5A. Whenever the linear actuator turned on, the arduino would reset. Once I discovered the cause of the reset, I plugged the arduino to a different power source.

I ordered this to charge the light on my loupes (magnifying glasss for medical professionals).The replacement charger was very expensive so I thought I’d try this out and it works great. Had the right attachment for what I need it for. Had to adjust the voltage then it worked. Saved me at least $100 so I’m pleased!

Had this powering my Seagate Expansion Hard Drive. Using the black tip, everything fit nice and snug and was working wonderfully, got up this morning and no power to the drive. Unplugged the adapter and used the original Seagate power adapter (although that is what this one was replacing as the original was making a strange noise), but at least it powered up the drive. So I am only assuming the tip is faulty, as the light on the adapter is steady and I tried a couple other tips to charge products I have and it works, so must be the tip.....Will be returning in a few days and look for an alternative. For the price I didn't expect the world, but did expect it to work for more than a day.

After purchasing the SoulBay 12V Power Supply Universal AC DC Adapter Charger with Adjustable Output, I had hoped it would meet my needs for powering my Rogers Wifi. Unfortunately, it did not function with my device, prompting me to return it. However, it's important to note that compatibility issues can vary between devices, so while it didn't work for me, it may work perfectly for others with different equipment.

The Good: intelligent design in having the volt selector on the wall- side & a thoughtful touch to include a key for turning it the voltage selector when most flat edged screwdrivers or a dime would do the trick.Worked exactly as advertised.The Bad: DANGER without my knowledge the adapter failed. That in itself would not be a problem if it stopped working It put in its time of 2 years. What happened was it continued to work but self-selected its highest voltage. This resulted in 2 devices burning out leaving them beyond repair. The first one that burned out I thought had just reached the end of its life The second one, a completely different appliance l, started to melt. That's when I became suspicious because the power was set to around 5 volts DC. I tested it with a cheap motor that runs on 3.5 volts and the motor was destroyed. It made the motor heat up so quickly it almost burned my hand.Until this happened a couple of months ago I would have recommend this with five stars. The serious danger of it not shutting down when it malfunctions, I cannot in good conscience recommend this product. I only thought to make this review &2w warning because I was looking through my previous orders list.If the merchants read this I'd appreciate knowing they've discovered and fixed this issue.

The AC adapter for my cable modem (Arris S33v2) was failing. The modem was producing high-pitched coil whine -- probably the capacitors -- and would go into constant reboot cycles. Bought this unit to replace the adapter. Needed 12v 1.5a and so far the new adapter is working fine. Really appreciate all the included barrel inserts.

I needed to replace the power cord on our portable white-noise device; the one we use for travel. Seemed like this was going to be perfect because you can select the output voltage and I was able to match it to the existing device. The problem was that the shoulder on the cord plug was too fat to allow the pin to insert fully in the recess in the device. I used a Dremel tool to shave the plastic shroud and finally it fit. Works as intended now. I can't necessarily fault the 12V power supply because SoulBay did not make my white-noise device. Just know that it could be an issue with some types of equipment.
