Love this wheel. The regular size was just a little too small for my average size hamster, but try to find a 9 inch wheel that doesn't squeek like nails on a chalkboard! After a great deal of looking, and putting my hamster back in her (too small) wheel just to be able to sleep at night, I finally found this wheel and absolutely love it. So does she, judging by how long she runs in it through the night. Very sturdy attachment to the cage; also comes with a solid metal stand but my hamster had it moved around her cage so I attached it to the side and it works beautifully. You do need to tighten it occasionally (I usually check it when I clean her cage). Little bit tough to clean as the side is sort of blocked off, but I will gladly take that small inconvenince for a wheel that is perfect in every other way. Bit pricey, but since I never have to replace it, well worth it!

I attached the 9" wheel to the side of a plastic bin cage I made for our long-haired Syrian hamster (I had drilled a hole through the plastic bin for the bolt to go through). He seems pretty happy in it. He does not arch his back, when he's running in this wheel. In between his runs, he sometimes takes mini naps or cleans himself while still in it. The wheel is fairly quiet. It doesn't disturb us at night.Initially, the wheel seemed to wobble/vibrate and make a slight noise but it stopped, after I tightened the bolt for the wheel. Adjusting the bolt is difficult though because it's inside the wheel. You'll need a way to get your hand or a clamp/pliers inside the wheel to hold the bolt still, while you tighten the nut on the other side. The wheel wobbling might not be an issue, if you use the stand or attach the wheel to a metal bar cage instead.Also, for cleaning, it's difficult to put your hand inside, if you want to just quickly wipe it down. You may need a long-handled brush instead. It requires more effort if it is attached to the side of a cage. If it's just on its stand, you can easily take it out to rinse with water and dry.This wheel seems suitable for a Syrian hamster. It's unfortunate that I can't find this on sale in any stores in Canada.

So far, after a month I have some things to say. Immediately I was surprised about the size of it, and it was a little hard to assemble but I had looking up how to assemble before hand so that helped some! I do have to say Muffin LOVES it a lot and her back is flat when she runs! So far I have gone through 12 different wheels so I'm hoping this is my last one.Pro's:- mostly silent (refer to cons)- sturdy- I love how you can completely disassemble it to clean and deep clean- easy to understand instructions (once you get them off!)- textured track for good gripCons:- my wheel seems to have a slight defect where it seems one spot is more Squarish and so it does make a little noise- hard to pull apart, if you have any problems with your hands I wouldn't recommend it- instructions to disassemble are on the inside of the wheel- wobbles some but not as bad as my others.All in all, it IS worth it if you can get past the cons!

It is very quiet compared to my last wheel. The only reason it is not sturdy in my cage is because it is on the fluff. If you put the wheel on a flat platform, it will be very sturdy. I have not cleaned it yet but it seems pretty easy to clean. My only disappointment is i didnt receive a cage attachment for some reason. But the wheel itself is amazing.

Bought this to replace the wheel I got with the cage. I measured cage before ordering but even then I Wasn’t even sure If it would fit. Decided I would go a head and order it after looking at photos with the reviews for the cage I ordered to see if any of them used a different wheel and where they put it determined that it did fit. Attaching the wheel to the cage proved a little challenging because the instructions were in the form of a diagram that was confusing. Thankfully I found video on you tube that made it make more sense. It REALLY is a quiet wheel. Spins really well and my hamster really likes it. However, my hamster likes to eat his breakfast in the wheel- and brings more food then he intends to eat.

This was good when hamster was younger but very shallow depth, hamster stopped using it when it grew larger. Is very quiet though.

I ordered one of these for my 4 gerbils after emdlessly trying to find something quiet because they love to run at 3am when im trying to sleep and it would always wake me up. Ever since I got this wheel it truly is so quiet i dont even know if theyre on it half the time! I love it so much im ordering a second one because they all hog it now! I had one gerbil that refused to get on the wheel and was getting chunky but now is constantly hoping on this wheel to exercise. Really is a great product and shocking how quiet it is!

I chose this product over other brands due to the fact it had an exposed bolt and no central disk covering the bolt like some other brands do. It is what set it apart for me as I have mice with tails and do not want them to get stuck behind a disc. They are still a great wheel but I cannot take the risk of this happening to my furry friends. I will be taking my latest purchase to the hardware store to replace the disc with a nut and bolt as per the previous design. It's a shame a unique product is now the same as every other superior wheel on the market but it won't stop me buying them if I can just get a bolt from the hardware store.

From the outset, I’ll admit that I’ve probably bought way more than my fair share of hamster wheels...I planned to adopt another dwarf hamster after my last little girl passed away. I was thinking about how tiny the dwarfs tend to be when they first come home, so I thought I’d buy yet another of the super small wheels for her to run on for a few weeks before she outgrew it. Then, I knew I’d have to buy yet another of the $10. “standard” wheels at that time. The standard wheels don’t seem to work reliably after a few months and I invariably have to replace them.I decided to shop around this time and discovered this wheel. I was impressed that Robo owners seemed to like this wheel very much, despite its large size. They said it was a high quality product and was well-balanced. I knew it would have to be in order for the teeny, tiny Robos to be able to use them.This wheel, at 9 inches, is much larger than the 6” standard wheels I had been buying over and over again for my hamsters when they grew to adult size.This wheel costs three times as much as the usual wheels - and I believe it to be worth every penny. My new little dwarf loves it. The wheel seems ENORMOUS next to her, but it performed as promised - she had no issue getting the wheel going. Now, I won’t have to upgrade to an adult wheel for her because she already has it.The wheel is super quiet and easy to clean. I was happy to pay the extra cost upfront to know that I’d have a wheel that she would enjoy and that I wouldn’t feel like I needed to constantly check to see if it was still working from day to day.The quality of this wheel is apparent from the moment you see it and take it in hand. It’s heavier than the cheaper wheels, but again, so well balanced that it hardly matters. The wheel track seems more stable and safer, too.I’m enormously pleased with this item - for myself and my new little girl. I wish that there were more products for hamsters available with such build quality. I would estimate that I was buying three standard wheels per hamster, one for size at the time of adoption and two from breakdowns of the product. I was never quite satisfied with the other wheels or felt as if I could trust the product to stay in working order.I can’t say that this wheel will last indefinitely, but I tend to believe it will. If I ever have a need for another, I’ll buy this exact wheel again, no questions asked.

I *love* this wheel. I have had Syrian hamsters for years and struggled to find a wheel that either A) Didn't take up too much space in the cage, B) Begin to squeak after a couple weeks, and C) hurt their feet. I tried the silent spinners, I tried the plastic saucers, I tried everything. I WISH I had heard of the Silent Runner sooner. It's the perfect size for a Syrian (even a big one like my current boy), without taking up cage space. It attaches perfectly to wire cages, but comes with a stand if you use a tub or glass aquarium. Unlike wheels I've found in the pet store, it doesn't rattle or rumble once attached to the cage wiring when the hamster runs on it.As for noise, the Kaytee Silent Spinner still takes the crown for quietest wheel I've ever found. This wheel is quiet, and the noise it sounds most similar to when in use is rain pitter-pattering against a window. Not bad at all.I can't figure out how to remove the top part in order to clean it, however. So as of now, it's definitely the hardest-to-clean wheel I've bought. But the flyer that came with it said it is easy to clean, so I must be doing something wrong / have extremely weak hands that can't remove the cap.All in all, it is a sturdy, quiet wheel that provides optimal cage space for your hamster and it very attractive, and my hamster seems to enjoy the privacy it provides with the holes rather than open access! Definitely would recommend to a friend and purchase again.

The only one that delivers.Hamsters are passionate runners and mine has overpowered all the other "Silent" wheels I've tried. One way or another they clacked/racketed/came apart and made a repeated loud noise by the night's end.Finally splurged and bought this and finally experienced blissful silence, or about the closest you could ask of any wheel. It's great and a nice large size where a syrian could run in it happily. I gave it 4/5 stars for some minor complaints:1) cleaning - not as easy because, as far as I can tell, the bright yellow wall does not come out. Instead you have to reach through the holes and swipe clean the inside as best as you can2) color options - would love a wider range, or even clear plastic to allow better view of the hamster3) Sturdiness - don't get me wrong, the metal base is pretty sturdy and good, but after the hamster runs enough, the ?joint that holds the wheel to the base will unscrew ever so slightly. The wheel will hang at a slight angle as a result, make a little bit more noise because now it's rotating with more pressure in one direction. I can fix it by reaching (uncomfortably) into the wheel and tightening the screw, but I pretty much have to do this every day because that's just how fast my hamster's running unworks it. I wish this didn't happen but at the end of the day, this is still the best, quietest wheel I've ever used for my hamster.
