Edit: I increase the review because the seller reached out and offered a full replacement or full refund. They seem to believe in their products so maybe this was just bad luck. The clip was very tight or maybe stuck in rust so the tools should do just fine on normal clip.Bought because they were supposed to be heavy duty and I had a tough clip to remove.They broke on the very first use. I thought maybe I was unlucky so I tried a second pair and they also broke on the first use. I didn't press that hard honestly. This is cheap.

5 Stars. I struggled with screwdrivers after I broke 2 other sets of cheap snap pliers. It was a very strong snap ring I was dealing with. Grip - Snap - On. Highly recommend buying these.

As observed by another reviewer, a bit on the larger heavy duty side for small mechanical equipment like printers. But then again I've already got small universal snap ring tools like Blue Point, to do all those really small spots. And it doesn't have to be a car engine you're working on for you to need something beefier. The problem is the odd heavier stiffer ring makes its way into compact mechanical equipment -- printers, robotics, and so forth. The last straw for me was a mega heavy duty snap ring on just a 5/16 inch shaft. Those universal tools with the interchangeable tips just didn't cut it. Fixed hardened tip snap ring pliers are the ticket for that situation and this set by Shall Tools was fully up to the job. Nicely made, accurate tips and STRONG. That last is always the critical aspect when dealing with the infernal invention we call "snap rings". Glad I added this set to my workshop.
