For the most part, this is your good ol' Scrabble game like you remember it. The only downside is that the company is cheaping out on materials.The tile trays are plastic instead of wood which may seem really minor but there was a certain satisfying feel to the wood that is now lacking.The tiles themselves are still wood. The letters are printed on but not always centered. I could be wrong but I recall the original game having embossed tiles.I did not dock any stars for this because it's not really a defect but a manufacturing decision that does not impact game play in any way. It's still a good value for the price and fun to play.

Good game for price, did not come with score card, I didn’t realize when I purchased. One thing, the Amazon packaging was fine, however the scrabble box was broken for some reason.

Exactly what it is supposed to be. SCRABBLE!Still love this game after all this time. Just moved to my retreat on Salt Spring Island and knew that this was a Must to have on hand for when friends come to visit!Arrived quickly and in mint condition.Tile holders are red plastic...not wood like other Scrabble games I've had. The listing did say "Scrabble classic will now include score sheets for the first time in recent history", but there were no score sheets included.All in all though, very satisfied with this purchase.

It's $15 people....get over your petty critiques. If you wanted higher end then pay the price. This is a great buy for occasional use and we used it the evening we got......5 people playing, no problems,loads of fun as usual. And for those complaining about spinning, we had an old table lazy susan that sat in the drawer for years and it works great. You can buy a cheap plastic one online for a few buck OR BUY THE EXPENSIVE GAME BOARD!!!!!

Awesome value for money. I grew up playing Scrabble and I wanted to get one for my 6 year old who loves word games. This is the perfect version to start him on.Pros:- value for money at $20+- wooden tiles instead of the usual plastic ones- you can’t try and feel for any alphabets- large enough to start a young child on the gameCons:- no “legs” to fix the tiles on the board unlike the travel version

It's an age-old classic and one that I thoroughly enjoy playing. I do remember the tile boards being wood as well, but I suppose the plastic will have to do.
