I just started venturing into the world of electric guitars and pedals, and I didn't want to shell out hundreds to thousands of dollars into brand names or popularized pedals. Rowin and its pedals caught my eye at its price point, and caught my purchase based on youtube reviewers. The pedal was a full metal body, extremely sturdy, small enough to be portable, but big enough to get your fingers in. Its pots and dials had just enough resistance, not loose like other discount pedals. The sound it produced was exactly what I expected, which I did not expect at all given its price point! I was so happy with this pedal, I ended up buying 2 more from rowin (delay and noise cancelling) and couldn't be any happier! If I had to give any negative feedback, it would be its rubber backing makes it hard to stick velcro on, thus making it stay on my pedal board was a bit of a chore. Regardless, I'm still VERY happy with my purchase and I'm considering buying a few more!

Great product, love the pedal and its sound. Arrived with no power cable, guess I didn't read the description close enough. I found one lying around the house and repurposed it.

Bought the Rowin Holy War pedal on a whim after being thoroughly disappointed by a couple of highly touted, boutique pedals. I bought it because I'm a Megadeth fan and figured whomever named it must be as well and WOW, I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! This pedal is amazing! And not just for metal: it also sounds good for softer stuff, grunge, hard rock and everything in between. I was shocked at how versatile it is. It has a (tiny but not flimsy) boost toggle which completely changes the tone. This is in addition to separate tone AND distortion knobs.... this thing is amazing. I've only been playing with it for a couple of hours but it's already vying for a place as my favorite pedal. Though the TTS is pretty hard to beat. Anyway, this thing is $25usd. Even if you're a cheapskate, JUST BUY IT!!!! You wont be disappointed.

This was a cool pedal for the 6 moths it worked. Now when I turn it on the guitar won't play through the AMP. When I turn it off (still connected to it) the guitar plays. Obviously a circuit issue. My biggest beef is support. They refer you to GELPRO...a floor matt company...what the. I contacted them thinking they were one in the same...nope...the thought I was crazy asking about guitar items.ASK ABOUT WARRANTY before buying. I know it was inexpensive but it should work longer than 6 months. I dodn't even use it very much.

I bought this pedal, not knowing how POWERFUL it is - until i put it to test against my daily EHX Micro Metal MUff. RMD offers searing hot distortion when dimed. Feedbacks come quickly. Just all around good sound - money well spent. I will see if it lasts, but the build quality is solid: die cast and soft under pad.

Not much to complain. I sold this off years ago but I remember it being good

For the price I spent, was hoping the reviews were right. And I was so, SO impressed. This has all the qualities I was looking for in a pedal, and then some. The tone knob really changes the quality and sound, as well, as the other knobs add another layer to the sound. And the size...it was no bigger than my hand. It’s SMALL and that’s an understatement. So worth the price. Highly recommended.

First of all, to ward off the music elitists, although distortion pedals do not come with a power supply this doesn't excuse not including one - it's still a terrible business practice. Immediate 3 star rating. Now, to the meat of the review - nothing. I can't tell you anything about it because it doesn't work. I took a chance on this as people in the Q&A section said it would work on the power of the amp alone, just no LED. Well that's very untrue, one click and all audio is gone. Now I'm waiting on an entire seperate product to arrive just so I can use this - and I can't even tell you if that's going to solve the issue, because who knows if it's just defective?Recap: this brand follows a toxic business model that needs to stop. There's nothing stopping a new guitarist from wasting their money on a pedal they won't be able to use and won't know why.
