I bought this for myself to mess around with and having a-lot of fun with it . I've been playing it through my spark amp’s n messing around with tones. The only problem i had with it is the leg’s . The theading on them is so fine that they are easy to strip.

Honestly, there's nothing to dislike about this guitar. Beautiful metallic charcoal (not black) finish, sturdy variable height legs. Quality storage case, well-padded and gig-tough. Very slick glossy fretboard. Controls work well, tone has a wide range. Arrived intact, very quickly too. OK, so it doesn't look anywhere near as cool as a vintage Fender or a Supro, but the tone is very nice. The only work that needs to be done is the string height adjustment so that all strings are level, for which purpose an allen key is supplied.ADVICE: it doesn't come with a slide bar, so you'll have to get one; don't buy one of a cheap, skinny variety, they are not comfortable to play and the tone won't be a as good.IMPORTANT: wipe it thoroghly with a rag, because you may get tiny but annoying metal splinters, particularly in the right-hand fingers.

Upon opening noticed that the strings were not equidistant. This was due to the bottom string impeded by a protruding adjustment screw. The guitar is also only about 3/4 size compared to my Haze lap steel. So at that point I put it back in the box and returned it.

Low strings seem to be quite dull --- might play around with different gauge strings. The amp connection has a cut out, so i may have to replace it. other than that, it seems fine for what it is.It looks great, and the case and stand are surprisingly decent. The machine heads and pickup are ok.

Probably best for kids wanting to get started on lap steel...feels cheap overall and the hardware/volume and tone knobs were loose and janky.I’d recommend saving up and going for a Gretsch electromatic in terms of an entry-level lap steel...about $300 more but worth it.
