Great product! I have a Ford Focus no rack so it was exactly what I needed. It made it thru a 6 day road trip over 30hrs of driving, it fits a lot of stuff in it. Definitely recommend this product for anyone that needs the extra space. It comes with all the straps and very clear instructions on how to install them!

Awesome product. I purchased this as a cheaper alternative to having my Mitsubishi Mirage fitted with a roof rack and a hard top carrier. We travelled from Ottawa,Ontario to Vancouver, BC with no major issues. There was some noise from the bag at times but packing larger heavier items at the front seemed to stop any vibrations. Keep in mind that if you are attaching the bag to the inside of the car with no rack it does press the weather stripping in and water will leak into your car when it rains. None of our items were wet after extreme amounts of rain and even hail. Would recommend purchasing a pad to go under the bag to prevent scratches.

Loved it easy to use lots of room. I could hook it up on my own. Made a blowing nose of air getting in through window when I went faster the 120 km per hour. But good product just not great for highways. I would recommend cause the price was so decent.

I used this bag for one trip, about 10 hours of driving. It looked pretty good after unpacking other than one of the Velcro attachments not being glued on. It fit as expected on the roof. The zipper is solid and strong. However, after one trip the coating on the front of the bag failed by cracking off making the bag not water tight. The Velcro closures are not attached on very well and two more became unglued. The straps and hooks to attach it to the roof hold it on sufficiently, the down side is that it compresses the doors weatherstripping and if it rains water will drip into the interior which I found out the hard way

Bought this for my family camping trip this year as the trunk space was not enough to fit all the camping gear. This was a more economical option to a hard top carrier as I would only use it a few times per year.Pro- good price compared to a hard top carrier- it folds well and comes in a small box. Good for storage and doesn't take up a lot of space- good quality and the material feel durable- used it in the rain. Was skeptical at first with its waterproof ability so I place a tarp inside the carrier and also put my sleeping bags/tents in plastic bags. However, it stand quick well against the rain as the inside was completely dry. The water didn't get in through the zippers either.- I used the straps that came with the carrier to tie it to the roof rack rail on my SUV. The straps were quite strong and had no problem holding the carrier down even driving at 100km/h on the highway.Con- nothing really. The zipper can get a bit tricky to close around the corner.I highly recommend this carrier. I did use it with a anti-slip layer under it to prevent it from sliding on by cars roof.

I've used this roof bag twice - once on a newer car and once on a mid 2000's sedan. On the newer car it was no problem strapping the bag to the weather stripping and everything stayed dry. On the older car, the weather stripping isn't nearly big / strong enough for the straps to clip in properly and it made for a terrible drive - the gaps created in the stripping caught wind at any speed above 90 km/h and was incredibly loud. If it rained there would have been rain in the car.I'd say its a good product but maybe not for older sedans.

If you do not have a roof rack and have a smaller to mid size car and are just looking for extra room on your trips, I must say this is a great buy! We packed tons in this, clothes, hygiene products, coats etc….. and I could have still filled it with more. Made it a comfy ride for our trip with plenty of extra room in our small car for us and the kids. Would defiantly recommend, just ensure you read the instructions properly and you’ll be fine!

Looks good, but I have not tried it yet.The clips do not work for my car Mercedes c230 Coupe as it's 2 x door :-). But I have roof rails so I am going to place it in between and secure to them. The size is just right.Quality is good. I ll review it again after some use.

Needed extra space for uni trip twice a year so didn’t want expensive roof box . Looked around quite a bit, were cheaper ones, but they appeared to be flimsy. This one is good quality materiel , that I don’t think will tear. The attachments also seem to be strong, easy to fasten on to existing roof bars on the car. We have done one 3 hour motorway trip with it full, it felt secure, did not move at all. It didn’t rain, so can’t comment other than to say it looks thoroughly waterproof. So far, am really pleased and would recommend.

As this was my first time using a car top carrier, I was extremely nervous that I had installed it improperly and kept stopping on my drive to double check the straps. I needn't have worried. After properly hooking the straps to my interior door frame, I tightened them and tucked in the ends as indicated. While the air rushing past the straps was loud at first, I got used to it. My items arrived dry and undisturbed at my destination. What's more, I was traveling very large interstates with high speed limits (70mph and up) and never felt like the thing was going to fly off my roof and back at some poor driver behind me. All that plus it frees up an AMAZING amount of space in my tiny 2-door Mini Cooper and I'm happy to say this was a great purchase!

I have a 2015 Chevy Trax and we took a road trip from South Dakota to Georgia. My car has very little room for storage so we thought this would help. We took our 1 year old son and I don’t think this would have been possible without this!! It worked great. We bought a mat to put underneath that ended up getting frayed going down the highway at 75 mph but I don’t think there was any issue with that with the bag. Didn’t have to have any special bars but we did have railings on the top of my roof so it was nice not having to purchase th bars for my car.I do have a sun roof and it was a little tricky positioning that over it. It was also really loud at first but we didn’t have it strapped down right. Like other reviews say, pack it heavy at the front. We tried to fill it as much as possible. Positioning is also important. It did kill the mileage on my car a bit, but thats expected. I just didn’t think about it when I purchased this. It was still worth it. Only thing with this, we stayed at a hotel and were worried about leaving it on our car. We did have a lock on the zipper but technically someone could just undo the straps. We ended up taking it down and having to put it up the next morning so that was a lot of extra work. On the way back at the same hotel, we just parked our car in front of the window facing the front desk but we stayed at a nice location. Just something you have to think about. Also it snowed overnight and everything stayed dry!

It has pros and cons!!!Pros:It does fit well on my Altima and was a lifesaver for space while traveling. Definitely waterproof and sturdy and spacious. We hit several strong rainstorms and everything stayed dry inside the bag. One was hurricane level rain and wind, it did fine, as long as you keep the flap down like they instruct you too.Very thick material. Two zippers to make adding or removing items a little easier. Which being on the roof, it is hard to pack for someone shorter.Didn't cause any damage to my roof, even with the weight of everything.Cons:Having to attach to the four door window frames, we got soaked in the storms. We solved the issue with stuffing our windows with paper towels. Also, Driving down the road it made for a whistling sound with the window seal disturbed. It felt secure, but leaving the bag to go in somewhere unattended on a roadtrip was unsettling. One of us stayed with the car for security until we stopped and purchased a small lock and key.I also purchased a slip proof mat for added protection and to prevent slipping.Although it does work without a luggage rack, it would be better to have one for the window and sound issue alone.Buy a small lock and the antislip mat before using this. I plan on loaning it out to a friend to use in the back of his pickup for his luggage. It should be fine for that.Mileage with it on car....1800 miles 1st use.
