I tried 3 different drain cleaners (liquid style) and at no point did the sink even unclog a little bit. Had the problem for months. Last time we called a plumber and it cost $80. I noticed the plumber had a tool he used on the end of his drill. It looked exactly like this.It is sturdy, long enough to reach down any normal sink drain and easily pushed through the hair clog and removed it when following instructions. Even came with a carrying bag!I hooked this up to my drill and slowly rotated and pushed until it went all the way in. Slowly rotated and pulled out the whole clog. Used a razor to cut the hair off the tool. Took under 5 mins, no plumber and clean drain! I can’t explain how much this thing helped.

First off, i purchased the product as i was looking forward to it being used occasionally and it being available for a home emergency. the product packaging was misleading as it looks a lot longer on the picture than reality. However given their description was correct and says 3 ft, i was okay as i knew what i was getting.I used it on a tub drain and it worked well. removed a bit of hair in the drain. I next tried it on another shower and immediately, the wire bent and the unit curls up onto itself and is pretty much unusable now. literally 2 tries and it broke. returning it now.

fast easy to use and the bag to store it is nice.When feeding it in / guiding it down the drain wear a glove of some kind keep your fingers safe, the body of the probe is a long coiled spring so you could get pinched, if it bucks and bends.After a good de-clog you'll find hairs and bits caught in the body of the probe.this is the one criticism I have. those hairs/junk are hard to get out of the body.usually you can remove them buy just "unscrewing" the gunk off the coil, but the deep in stuff is just too hard. I have too clean it by flexing it back and fourth and picking at the gunk till it finally comes out.So be ready to have ... "slime" on your fingers.

This product is a seemingly cheap feeling but works amazingly. I like that it is only a few feet long and was able to resolve my slow draining sink back to a normal flow rate. I am not sure what was the problem was due to a lack of hair being retrieved but it cleared whatever it was with ease.EDIT: Used it to fix a slow draining toilet and it worked like a charm. Willing to bet the people who have it break on them are using it wrong. slowly slide it in and give it a little turn to free up, if it doesn't move DON'T go full throttle it is stuck and needs to be backed out. User error will result in breakage and expensive plumber fees, this is a great tool but you need to be gentle with it, then speed it up once you get free movement.

Used on a bathtub hair plug. Cable Broke soon as I turned on the drill. Almost had to take the tub apart to get it out. Thankfully I just could grab with pliers. terrible cheap product that can cause more problems than it resolves

Excellent product. 2 minutes job cleared excess hair from bathroom sink. Water now drains fast as it should. Well worth the price and I'm sure it'll get used in the future. I recommend using your drill on the slowest setting, the speed should still be sufficient.

The item I received is broken and dirty. Taking out the box and finding it dirty wasn't great (and a bit gross if I think about it) and it's really disappointing to clean it up and fiddle around with it to find it doesn't even work - it just turns in the handle but the cable stays static on the other side, useless! I suspect this is a decent product generally, and that someone has returned this after using it as faulty and its gone into the stock with the new ones without someone checking.

I used it may be 10 times in the last week to clear a stubborn clog that was just out of reach. So I finally attached a thick wire to the tip and that cleared the clog.Pros:1. Easy to use and goes through the sink with in-built strainer that restricts the size of what enters the sink. And easy to retract!2. The ingenious way to connect it to the drill makes it so easy to operate! I can vary the speed, pull and push, and even reverse speed to get the clog.3. The tip looks strong enough to me. Does not look like it will break soon.Cons:1. I wish it was 2 inches longer. My clog was barely out of reach. After attaching a 2-inch hard but flexible wire to the tip, it looks all set for any future clogs in my bathroom.
