Just got this replacement cable, it fits with my Arctis 5 and everything is working well so far, chatmix dial works, lights and sound work on headset. Only time will tell whether it lasts, but so far I am satisfied with the purchase!

No noticeable distortion or anything. The cable is a bit smaller in circumference...possible slightly lower quality than the original.

Originally I was really happy with this cable. The audio worked great and the RGB lights were functioning properly. Until today. The audio no longer works with this cable. It just stopped working. There is no visible damage to the cable. I stepped away from my computer to do something and it was no longer working when I got back. I still have my original cable (that my cat chewed) and it works fine (minus the occasional whining sound from the cat damage) but this one doesn't work at all anymore (and the cat has not chewed it).Sadly I will have to find a new solution as this one only lasted just under a month.

I've purchased this replacement cord for my Steel series Arctic Pro + Gamedac twice now since the Steel series website wants to charge a fortune on their shipping costs. The audio sounds about the same, but the mic there is an issue where there is a clicking sound every 1 sec or so, The mic still works fine but if you're ever going to record anything the clicking noise will be noticeable upon listening. Discord's sound suppression helps a bit by suppressing that clicking sound. Be aware.

Audio works well on headphones with this wire for the Steelseries Arctis 5 Headset, however it does not allow use of your RGB lighting feature, this only covers audio for your headset.

Worked fine no issues with it fitting. everything was fine till my output audio would go through the input so everyone could hear my game, youtube ect. iv spent a couple hours trying to figure out wth was wrong and after switching back to the OG cable it stopped. choose a different cable

Compared to my old wire the headset came with (I have Arctis 5) the microphone and the RGB does not work.

My daughter's headphones stopped working and after some troubleshooting I realized the headphones worked fine, it was the connection to the DAC. Then I inspected the cable going from the headphones to DAC and saw it was slightly frayed. Looked like our cat got to it. Ordered this cable to replace it and everything works great.
