We got this extra controller so all of our kids could play Wii together at the same time. Right out of the box, it paired to the Wii with no issues. It works with the OEM nunchuck, and the control/motion detection works just like a Nintendo controller. The kids don’t have a preference for the original controllers or this aftermarket one, so there can’t be any disadvantages from their perspective (they’d definitely voice it). The only down side is the speaker quality on the controller is poor. It doesn’t sound like an OEM controller, but it doesn’t really bother me or the kids. Good value for the money. It’s held up for several weeks now with no issues. So far, so good!

Let's face it. Some people still use the original Wii. Purchasing an original Nintendo remote and nunchuck is near impossible due to the fact that they just aren't produced any more.But, my friends have young children and the wii video game that I gave them suits their needs at this time. They wanted another controller and I figured that this would be a suitable replacement. It was! It functions exactly like the original Nintendo controllers and for a fraction of the price. The other main selling point is that these can easily be purchased.Within no time, these were up and running and the kids couldn't be happier. So, this was a win-win. If you have an older Nintendo gaming system, these controllers will do the trick!

This worked great at first. After several uses it just stopped working. I put new batteries in it and synced it again. It worked again for a short period of time and then I had to repeat the same sequence. I have like 10 wii generic remotes and they all do this. I am not sure what my problem is. I've tried everything and it is just a crapshoot as to which remote will work each day.

Hard to believe that it has been 15 years since Nintendo unveiled the Wii, and really made motion controls a legacy that really has sparkled. Other companies like Sony & Microsoft tried their hands on it though then, and lost out in sales and innovation. But, Nintendo would not be able to see that again until the Switch in 2017. Still, there are a lot of people that have the hankering for the Wii, and the simplistic gameplay games like The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword showed then. This Wii controller by Zectoo works well, but at times can freeze up during gameplay. I tried it while playing Super Mario Galaxy, and the controller did freeze up for a few moments. Still, if you just bought a Wii U or still own a Wii, you really do not have a lot of places to go for accessories. It holds up mostly well on other games like Wii Sports, and is a good addition to your Nintendo Wii Legacy library.Price: B-Convenience & Setup: C 1/2+Overall: C+
