I have 3 of these little quansheng HT radios. They are well worth the money. They are not perfect for sure. The Tx audio quality exceeds the Baofengs. Their SDR architecture allows them to to be modded. Egzumer and others. Great value all things considered. This is my 3rd one. Just because it was orange. Hi Hi.

Useful for 2 meter and aircraft monitoring. Tough to follow the instructions but doable.

Good basic radio, receives and transmits well on the amateur bands. Feedback from other hams is that the sound is quite nice, and I am able to hit the local repeaters with no issues at all.Have used it now for a couple of weeks and find that it receives and transmits very well on the amateur bands. Programming from the keypad is straight-forward if you have done this before, otherwise it might be a bit of a chore to deal with all the menu items. Operating manual is quite sparse, and although it does not mention anything about alpha-numeric display, I have friends who used chirp to program their radios, and are able to label the memory channels with names instead of only frequencies. This does not appear to be an option when using the keypad. This radio has dual watch, but be advised that it can only listen to one frequency at a time, as it is not a dual receiver radio. the battery life is excellent- I can have it on receive and listen to local chatter for about three days before it needs a recharge. Bonus is to have reception for FM commercial radio as well as AM airbands.I'm very happy with this little radio, and find that for under $50, it's been a great buy.
