  • A ski harness is a device that helps young children learn how to ski. A ski harness for kids is worn around the torso, like a vest and typically has webbing type leashes that attach at the back.

  • In fact, you’ll find many ski schools have kids wear ski vests with handles on the back, but I’ve never seen a ski school, or heard of one that encourages the use of ski harnesses with leashes.

  • We have our kids wear a harness until they are about 8 years old because the handle on the back of the harness makes it much easier to help them onto the chairlift, and gives you something to hold on to if they start to wiggle during the ride up.

  • A toddler ski training harness can be a great investment for really young kids who ski, especially since the handle really makes skiing with kids easier on your back.

  • All ski harnesses, should properly be called a kids ski trainer or a toddler ski harnesses, since that is the primary purpose and age they are intended for. I never recommend using a kid ski harness for any kids over the age of 8.

We’ve had this for two weekends, skiing maybe 3 hours cumulatively. The top handle is already tearing. The rest is okay, but pretty disappointing given the price and the safety expected from a child’s harness.

スノーボードを教えるために買いましたが、滑走者にもスキルが必要です。ワンフットで困らず滑れるくらいでしょうか

This did almost as we anticipated, except some of the straps easily loosened during use and wouldn’t stay in it’s intended place.

UPDATE: So the seller reached out to me after seeing my initial review and offered me a full refund because the pack didn’t come with the leg straps as advertised. So I’m bumped my rating up from 1 to 3 stars for the good customer service. I was just going to accept the loss and not bother reaching out for a corrective action. Even though it was missing the leg straps I had specifically purchased it for, I was still able to make it work for my needs. They saw my review, messaged me, and offered me the refund. I have to appreciate that. Great customer care, and pretty generous in my opinion. Thanks.ORIGINAL: Ordered this one specifically for the leg straps but they did not come with it. No leg straps as pictured and indicated in the listing. I ended up keeping it only because I needed it before a replacement could arrive. It does the job. I’m able to lift my kiddo onto a chair lift without the leg straps but it that extra support would have been preferred. My other complaints are that the adjustable straps for the arms and waist don’t stay in place. They all come loose within about 15-30 min. Lastly, the tether straps could use about 2 feet more length for the maximum for snowboarders. I have mine out all the way and it works but having a bit more space between me and my kiddo would make me feel a bit safer at higher speeds. One good thing about it is that the construction does seem durable enough to last at least a season or two. Overall it’s a good option if you are trying to save a bit of money compared to the name brand version. It works for me and my kid. Just don’t expect to get the leg straps.

Really effective to use as a handle. Straps are a bit tough to store when not using but really effective when in use.
