Did so much research to find a set of ear buds that weren’t crazy expensive but still had great quality. It takes some time to figure out what size foam to use and they also require break in time. Having the correct size foam tip is important to having proper seal, without that the protection isn’t quite there. Ear buds work well, they don’t amplify as much as some muffs but I do not like the muffs when skeet shooting and duck hunting. Customer service from actual company is superb, do not hesitate to message them with any questions!

This product does what it advertises. Loops around the ears and the controller stays firmly behind the head. No dangling stuff to irritate you while shooting. The controller is easy to use, and changes can be made without taking the unit off your head. I wore this for 4 hours at my last match, very comfortable. You can have a conversation and actually hear people. They have a variety of buds to fit most ears. If they ever come out with a form fitted ear bud and the same controller, I would buy it immediately. Great product.Harry

The only way to get louder reception is to cup my hand beside my ears. Also the smallest earpiece is still too big for my ears hence they fall out easily.I will be returning them if it doesn’t cost me too much.

I've switched to the Pro Ears Stealth 28 Ear Plugs for my shooting activities, and it's been a game-changer. They've replaced my over-the-ear muffs, offering much more comfort without compromising on protection. These ear plugs are a revelation for anyone who spends time at the range shooting rifles. The fit is snug yet comfortable, allowing me to wear them for extended periods without any discomfort. This is a major upgrade from the bulkier earmuffs I used to wear, which often got in the way, especially when shooting rifles. The compact design of the Pro Ears Stealth 28 not only improves comfort but also makes them easy to carry and store. In terms of performance, these ear plugs excel in providing electronic ear protection. They effectively block out harmful shooting noises while allowing me to hear range commands and converse with fellow shooters, thanks to their clear sound technology. The ability to protect my hearing while staying aware of my surroundings is invaluable. The durability and quality of these earbuds are apparent. They feel well-made and sturdy, giving me confidence that they will last through many shooting sessions. The convenience of their rechargeable feature also adds to their appeal, saving me the hassle and cost of constantly replacing batteries. The Pro Ears Stealth 28 Ear Plugs have significantly enhanced my shooting experience. They offer superior comfort, effective hearing protection, and the convenience of a rechargeable system, making them an excellent choice for anyone in need of reliable shooting hearing protection.

I've been considering "in the ear" hearing protection for several years. I chose the ProEars Stealth HT because they had no cords to hang down, fit over the ears, are rechargeable, and I had previous experience with ProEars noise cancelling ear muffs. I did not need Bluetooth connectivity because my plan was to wear them for hunting and shooting.I just returned from a two-day shooting class where I wore these 100% of the time. This is what I found:PROS -- Noise cancellation is excellent- They are comfortable and stay out of the way- Battery life was excellent.CONS -- They are terrible in windy conditions. Wind noise is amplified and makes hearing anyone speaking in the background almost impossible to hear.- When you shut them off, say on a break, everything resets to a default setting. Everything. The response time and the volume need to be fiddled with every time you put them on. To get around this, you must leave them on when you take them off for lunch or anything else.- There is a learning curve to the controls. I had to look at the instructions a few times to figure out the difference between One and Two beeps on the response time. Then I had to remember which button was the On/Off, which was the Response, and which side of the Volume made it louder. Tactile feedback is poor and, other than the initially confusing response beeps, there is no audio feedback until you get to full loud or full soft on the volume. In summary, the do work well other than for the background wind noise. With use, the controls finally become familiar. The default reset of settings can be overcome by leaving them on.As a side note, wind noise can be an issue with amplified hearing protection, but many products, like the ProEars Gold muffs, have foam covers over the microphones which helps to mitigate it. It will be interesting to see how these work during upland bird hunting season.

I had good expectations for this ear pro since they were Pro Ears, but not there yet. They work ok in an open field setting, the gun report is sort of muted and I can still hear what is going on around me.In any sort of enclosed shooting like under a cover, I prefer muffs to this ear pro, even a 9mm pistol report hurt my ears, and forget a high powered rifle under a cover. Maybe I have overly sensitive hearing, but these didn't work for me.I like the idea of the construction, but the protection is not quite there for me.Steve Y.

Got to the range and put these in, I had my doubts, by the end of the day I was impressed.Pros:Good noise cancellingComfortable for about an hour or soVery light weight (didn't even notice them)Shooting glasses don't break the sealMultiple tips to get the right fitCons:Takes a little work to seat themNormal conversation is not amplified very loudAfter about 90 minutes my ears got a little irritated, but it may have been how I had them positionedAl in all I'm pretty happy with these. Was at the range for about 3 hours and when I got home my ears weren't ringing. I've tried several types of ear muff and the shooting glasses always break the seal defeating the purpose of the hearing protection.

I had a pair of muffs from another company that was supposed to cut noise and enhance sound like these do. However, I never could get them to consistently work; there was always a high pitched tone. These seem to be the perfect solution. I haven’t shot a gun with them yet, but they do enhance hearing and significantly reduce sounds like a lawnmower. I would recommend these to the yard worker, the shooter who needs to also hear range commands, and to the hunter who needs to hear turkeys gobbling, or any type of sounds made my game. I don’t think you can beat these for the price.
