This screen retainer spline is constructed of top quality vinyl that is round in shape. It features a hollow core center, it is serrated on its exterior surface, and it is gray in color. Vinyl screen retainer spline like this one is used to hold fiberglass and aluminum screen material to screen frames of both windows and doors. This retainer spline has an outside diameter of 0.120 inch (1/8 inch) and measures 250 ft. in length.

Worked great on my 1973 Airstream travel trailer screens. I had a hard time finding spline narrow enough to fit my Airstream screen's frames, narrow screen spline slots. The standard spline screen spline I was able to find at my local hardware stores was unusable, too wide. This spline worked well and as I worked on the job, I found, pulling and stretching it a bit as I inserted the spline made it even easier to work with. I started my spline in a straight section, not stretching it at all for a bit, then just a bit as I progressed. Stretching a bit in the straight away section, just makes it slide in easer, it will go in without stretching. Some of the corners, apparently being even narrower, required a little more stretching. As I came to the end and back to where I started, I did not stretch it at all in hopes it would be tight enough to never separate at that joint. It has not been in long enough now to determine if it will rebound a bit in length. I don’t think it will. I am very pleased.

Worked great, nice and flexible. In the past when replacing screens I have re-used the old spline, but it was much easier and the final result much better using this.
