Just because a lot of buyers are saying it doesn't work, at least for me it works fine. I have a hardwired dashcam with a usb c plug that I needed to convert to micro usb into the dash cam and this worked fine. In this case it's a power only application, no data transfer.

It's a well built usb-c to micro-b cord and does the job but there's a problem with it and that is that you have to use a USB-A to USB-C cord or it won't work at all.DO NOT USE USB-C TO USB-C CORD!!!You will be limited to18 watts with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 protocol with USB-A.

Bought it to connect an old ASUS Zenfone for charging and sync; it did not work to multiple PCS (laptop and desktop ) and did not work with connecting to a power adapter. I tired hooking it up to wireless headphone and mouse for charging (both micro usb) and it did not work either. Cable is either DOA or does not work as advertised. I will be returning.

I bought this in hopes of giving a little strain relief to the internal connections of a USB micro charging port on a cheap piece of electronics I bought. So far so good. No difference noted in charging times and the housing and terminations seem sturdy... Well at least as sturdy as USB micro gets. I'll be glad when micro gets phased out. I would buy it again, just maybe pointing in the other direction. Couldn't figure that out when ordering.

Cable doesn't work and I see other reviews now to the same effect. I tested same device out in same port on pc with different cables and it worked fine, so I'm very certain that this thing is defective.
